From the little backpack to the moment you’re dropping your baby off at college, there is something about back-to-school that makes time feel like it moves just a little to fast.
This time of year brings excitement, nervous butterflies, new shoes, sharpened pencils, big dreams- and for parents maybe a few happy tears along the way! Whether your child is heading off to preschool, kindergarten, middle school, high school, or college, every first day is milestone worth celebrating!
Our Oak Glen Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center residents and staff have lived through countless first days of school, raised children, watched grandchildren grow and learned a thing or two along the way. So we asked: What advice would you give today’s students? Study hard, be kind, don’t be afraid to try something new, make memories, and never stop learning!
To the parents: soak it all in. Take the picture! Fix the crooked backpack. Give an extra hug. Wipe the tears- yours and theirs. One day, you’ll blink, and that little hand you once held walking into kindergarten may be the same hand waving goodbye as they head off to college.
From all of us at Oak Glen Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center- our staff and residents wish every student a safe, happy, successful, and unforgettable school year!
