Welcome to our page! Purely Pediatrics is a work in progress, set to open in the Fall of 2016. Our website is in creation as well to give you details of what we offer with regard to the ultimate in care of your child. Based on a membership model of care that allows for a relationship that is not dictated by insurance companies, this model of care provides the individualized care that so many of us want. The focus is comprehensive, personal and affordable care for your child that is provided by a physician who knows your child almost as well as you do.

Newborns arrive with personalities, temperaments, and their own perception of their world.

When we consider our own parenting, what if we focused on reading the story of our children instead of writing the story?

Recognizing that children do not arrive as blank pages, but as individuals with their own story that has yet to be read is a beautiful way to honor their individuality.

As parents worry about what is ‘normal’ and whether their child is meeting their developmental milestones, it is also helpful to learn about the personality of their little one.

Every baby is a unique individual.

We must not forget that.

Our Taylor and his Sydney got married this weekend!

We could not be happier for the both of them. ❤️

Witnessing their relationship develop and strengthen has been so incredible through the years.

My biggest takeaway… we need to listen.

Listen to mothers.

Whether they are friends, family, colleagues, wives, or just a mother standing next to you, please listen.

Ask mothers how they are feeling.

Ask if they need a friend, an ear, or a hand.

Listen to what they say and how they express themselves.

Believe what they say.

We all need to be better to our mothers, and for our mothers.

I will be better for all of my mothers. ❤️

I am so grateful to have had a wonderful friend send me this picture of Caden and his physics teacher that he had asked to hand him his diploma on the stage at Artpark.

As it turns out, the small class of 7 in AP physics asked this teacher to be the one to show up on stage with each one of them.

I cannot imagine how much it meant to him to have experienced this with his students.

Caden told me that he is retiring after this year.

Mr. Thompson, please know that you are so appreciated.

These days, I have to follow my boys around to spend time with them.

I use food to entice them to sit down next to me.

I consider the times when they find me to share their stories a blessing.

Being asked to be on stage with 7 seniors is quite an accomplishment.

Enjoy retirement, knowing that you truly made a difference.

It’s the challenging pictures that we don’t often post in our social media.

We all choose to post the ‘perfect’ pictures, forgetting that those imperfect moments are just as important.

Posting the challenging images just may remind us that we are not alone in those sticky situations when our little ones choose to not participate.

We can’t always predict when our littles have had enough.

What we can do is follow their cues and remember that they are still developing and learning and that social situations are not yet high on their list.

Challenging pictures do not negate the wonderful memories enveloped in the event.

Share the challenging times when needed.

We all need the reminder that we are in this together 💗

Wishing all a wonderful Fourth of July Holiday!

We will not be in the office again until Monday, 7/6 so that we can also enjoy the time with family.

Please remember-we are always available using the membership number even when we are not in the office for any urgent calls or texts.

Please be safe, leave the fireworks to the experts, and make some incredible memories this weekend!

Yesterday, my son Caden graduated from high school, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude.

Watching him walk across that stage, I couldn’t help but think about how quickly the years have passed. The little boy who once held my hand has grown into a thoughtful, kind, resilient young man ready to begin the next chapter of his life.

Parenting has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. It has brought immeasurable joy, moments of uncertainty, lessons in patience, and countless opportunities to love unconditionally. Every challenge has been worth it to witness the incredible person Caden has become.

I’m so thankful to our family, friends, teachers, coaches, and everyone who has encouraged him along the way. It truly takes a village to help shape a young person, and we are deeply grateful.

Caden, as you head off to Niagara University, remember that success isn’t measured only by achievements, but by the kindness you show, the integrity you carry, and the difference you make in the lives of others. Stay curious, stay humble, work hard, and never lose sight of who you are.

The future belongs to those who have the courage to chase their dreams while lifting others along the way.

Congratulations, Caden. We couldn’t be more proud. Your next adventure is just beginning, and I can’t wait to see where it takes you. ❤️🎓 🎓

As I left the house this morning to get to the clinic, this was my view.

Knowing there was a group of seniors soundly sleeping after enjoying celebrating their last day of high school made my heart happy.

I hope they all continue to leave their shoes at my front door for many years to come.

This sums up what I want for these guys for their futures.

Friends who bring you comfort and peace, a soft place to lay your head at night, and the safety of being a part of a connected community. 🎓

My son is graduating from high school next week.

It feels like he just graduated from kindergarten.

What a magical journey it has been being his mom.

He turned into an adult and I am no longer holding that space at the center of his world.

It will have to be enough that he will always remain at the center of mine. ❤️.
