September is Deaf Awareness Month! 🦻

Did you know sign language is not only a sign and gesture language, but also a facial expression language? Like Lowering eyebrows to indicate a who-what-where-when-why question, and
raising eyebrows to indicate a yes/no question.

Deaf Awareness Month encourages us to learn more about the experiences, achievements, and contributions of Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.

One simple way to get involved is by learning the American Sign Language alphabet. ASL is a complete visual language with its own grammar and structure, and it plays a vital role in communication for many members of the Deaf community.

Learning how to fingerspell your name or simple words can be a meaningful step toward building more inclusive communities and breaking down communication barriers.

💙 This Deaf Awareness Month, take a few minutes to learn the ASL alphabet and join us in celebrating the richness of Deaf culture and language.

A good reminder for all of us! Sometimes the most meaningful support doesn’t come from doing more, it comes from slowing down and being intentional with how we treat each other.

Hope Family Partners spent a fun sunny day at Range Pond! ☀️

We got creative with some arts and crafts provided by ArtVan🎨, spent time relaxing and taking in the lake 🌊, and ate some yummy burgers and hot dogs! From start to finish, it was a day filled with connection, joy, and meaningful moments.

These are the experiences that help build friendships, confidence, and lasting memories for the individuals we support 💙
