Our deepest sympathies go out to those who lost loved ones, and to all of the families and individuals affected by the shooting at this weekend’s East End Days community event here in Lexington.

Our hearts are with everyone who is hurting, grieving, or simply trying to process what happened. We know that moments like these can bring a wide range of emotions, and there is no “right” way to feel or heal.

Many mental health professionals and organizations in our community have stepped up to offer support and services. We are one of those places, and we are here for you.

Please remember: It’s okay to not be okay. You don’t have to carry it alone. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Our thoughts are with our Lexington community as we come together to grieve, support one another, and begin to heal. ❤️

Support Services and Outreach:

Mayor Linda Gorton announced that support services would be available at the Dunbar Community Center the following Monday, offering resources for those affected. ONE Lexington, the city’s youth violence prevention organization, committed to providing trauma support and other resources for anyone in need.

The Academy offers 7:45am drop off time in the summer until 6pm! They go on field trips each day and there is a different theme each day to keep kids excited and engaged.

From 3-6pm (if you choose) your kiddo can be a part of BCTS Children's Therapeutic Rehabilitation Group. Where kids work on social and emotional health and skills!

The first two days have been packed with smiles, friendships, adventures, sweet treats, outdoor fun, and plenty of memories already being made! From playground adventures and sidewalk chalk masterpieces to gym time and hanging out with friends, our campers have hit the ground running. 💙

We’re so excited to see what the rest of the summer has in store and all the fun still to come!
