Would You Like to Help Support Our Hospice House Patients and Families?

Our Hospice House team is always grateful for donations that help provide comfort and convenience to the patients and families we serve.

Current needs include:
• Pudding cups
• Mashed potato cups
• Mac & cheese cups
• Pop-Tarts
• Individual bags of chips
• Individual bags of cookies
• Bottled water
• Jello cups
• Travel-size liquid body wash (men’s and women’s scents)
• Small tubes of toothpaste
• Individual toothbrushes
• And other individually packaged snacks, beverages, and personal care items

Donations may be dropped off Monday–Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM at the Administrative Building, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington.

Many of you have asked if we have an Amazon Wish List, and we are happy to share that we do! Please see the link in the comments below if you would like to have items shipped directly to us.

In just two weeks, we will welcome Celebrity Chef Torrece "Chef T" Gregoire to From Heritage to Horizon at Curran Alexander Vineyards.

As Chef T spends time in Asheboro, NC this weekend, we are reminded of something that makes her so special — despite her national recognition and appearances on FOX's Hell's Kitchen, Food Network's BBQ Brawl, and NBC's Yes Chef!, she continues to invest her time, talents, and passion into North Carolina communities.

Thank you to the Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce for allowing us to host this week's Community Connections Lunch! 💚

On Tuesday, May 26th, we were honored to welcome local business and community leaders to our campus for a afternoon of networking, learning, and connection.

During the program, our Grief & Bereavement Coordinator, Emily, shared information about our Creative Counseling program and the meaningful support our Grief & Bereavement team provides to individuals and families. Guests also had the opportunity to participate in a creative counseling activity, giving them a firsthand look at the types of experiences offered through these sessions. While many people associate grief services with support after a loss, we also have the privilege of walking alongside patients and families during the hospice journey, helping them navigate anticipatory grief, difficult conversations, and emotional transitions.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share more about this important work and the impact it has throughout our community.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to our chef, Angie, for providing a delicious baked potato and salad bar lunch that was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in attendance.
