Extern Spotlight! 🌟 Hannah Frame 🌟
πŸ’™Why UK? I wanted to be in a place that I can really grow! The team here is exceptional, and I immediately knew I would learn so much as a student here. I love the fast-paced medical environment with a diverse population. I am thrilled to be a part of the UK AuD team!
πŸ‘‚Why Audiology: I chose Audiology for a number of reasons, but I mainly knew I wanted to make some kind of an impact on people. Whether that was helping someone hear or making there day through a conversation. Connection is everything and Audiology gives me the avenue to do that!
πŸ›Ά πŸ‘©πŸΌβ€πŸ³ Outside of audiology, I enjoy: Running and knitting! I also love spending time with my goldendoodle :)

Intern Spotlight 🌟 Jacob Tupa, MD

πŸ’™Why did you choose the University of Kentucky?
I really enjoyed my time in Lexington during my interview and felt a genuine sense of camaraderie between the residents on interview day. It was also evident to me that the faculty took great pride in teaching and mentoring throughout our conversations. I was looking for a program that would provide excellent surgical training that would prepare its residents for a career in general otolaryngology or fellowship, as well as a tight-knit group to train with, and am fortunate to have found both in Lexington!

🍿 πŸƒ What are your hobbies?
When I’m not at the hospital, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, working out, reading about my Catholic faith, watching movies, playing cards/board games, playing basketball and golfing, and watching my favorite sports teams, especially the University of North Dakota and Boston Celtics. I’m excited to try out the local restaurant scene (open to any and every suggestion) and dive into Kentucky Wildcat sports!

Intern Spotlight 🌟 Dr. Carson Potts

πŸ’™Why did you choose UK: After my sub-internship at UK, I knew this would be the ideal place for me to train because of the people and strong sense of community. In speaking with residents and attendings, it became clear that this was a program on the rise which was something I was excited to be a part of. Outside the hospital, Lexington also offered the lifestyle that my wife and I were looking for.
πŸƒ ⚽️ Hobbies: I enjoy running, triathlon, soccer, playing the drums, and of course hanging out with my wife and friends!
