Meet Dr. Orcutt! Originally from northeast Ohio, she earned her undergraduate degree from Kent State University and her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University before completing her pediatric residency at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital in Columbia, SC.

Dr. Orcutt provides compassionate care to children of all ages, with interests in preventive medicine, early childhood development, and managing chronic conditions such as childhood diabetes. She loves building strong relationships with families and helping parents feel confident in supporting their children’s health.

Head lice can happen to anyone—and they’re especially common among school-aged children. Knowing what to look for can help you act quickly!

🔍 Common signs include an itchy scalp, a tickling sensation, trouble sleeping, or tiny nits attached close to the scalp.

If you find lice, use an age-appropriate treatment as directed, carefully comb out lice and nits, and wash recently used bedding, clothing, hats, and hair accessories. Avoid sharing brushes, hats, or other items that touch the hair.
