We can’t wait to welcome Dr. Charlotte Yeh for the keynote and panel discussion, From Doctor to Docent: Changing the Paradigm of Hearing Healthcare to Improve Outcomes, on October 1 at 8:30 a.m.

This thought-provoking session will challenge audiologists to rethink their role in the patient journey, moving beyond diagnosing and directing care toward greater collaboration and co-creation with patients. Drawing on healthy aging frameworks, consumer technology, patient insights, and personal experiences, Dr. Yeh will explore strategies for building trust, reducing barriers to care, and creating meaningful connections that improve outcomes.

Her experience as a board-certified emergency physician, and service as chief medical officer for AARP, have informed Dr. Yeh’s advocacy for patient-centered care, the consumer voice in healthcare and vibrant aging. She’ll be joined by an expert panel featured, Dr. Jennifer Deal, interim director of the Cochlear Center for Hearing and Public Health, and Lindsay Chura, senior policy and research advisor for AARP.

The ADA 2026 Board of Directors election process is underway.

The ADA Nominating Committee has announced the official slate of candidates for President-Elect and two Director-at-Large positions. Members are encouraged to review the candidates and stay informed as the election process moves forward.

Regular and Life Members may also submit independent nominations in accordance with the ADA Bylaws. Independent nominations must be received by Friday, August 14, 2026, by emailing [email protected]
