At just 5 years old, Zarina had an ischemic stroke. She lost movement in her wrist and hand, needed an AFO and cane to walk, and struggled with focus and attention.
Four years later at NeuroAnimation, Zarina kept showing up and put in the work.
Today? Her gait has improved and she’s walking without an AFO or cane and with her toes pointing forward. She’s seen wrist activation and real gains in shoulder movement. Her spasticity has eased, and she’s able to intentionally squeeze her hand shut — something that wasn’t possible before.
And according to her mom, her focus and attention have improved too.
This is what neuroplasticity looks like in action. 🧠
