Today was incredibly special.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to provide 30 backpacks filled with school supplies to the children who had signed up before today's event. Seeing those smiles reminded me why Busy Bees exists—to be more than a play space, but a place that gives back whenever we can.

Throughout today's event, 61 additional children walked through our doors whose families shared that they are also in need of backpacks and school supplies. My heart broke knowing we couldn't help every family today.

We've been open for less than a month, and as a brand-new small business, we simply don't have the financial ability to purchase enough backpacks and supplies for everyone. But I refuse to believe these children have to go without.

If your business, church, organization, or school hosted a backpack drive and has any leftover backpacks or school supplies, we would be honored to get them into the hands of these children. We have a list of families waiting, and every donation—whether it's one backpack, a pack of crayons, or a box of notebooks—will make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, shared our posts, and believed in this mission. Because of you, 30 children are starting the school year with confidence.

We have vendors out in the parking lot under cover and inside! You can also take a tour of our facility!

Backpacks are assigned to families for pickup. No open play today.

🍎📚 Welcome Back to School Party
Kick off the new school year with fun, friendship, and play at Busy Bees Playhouse!
Whether your child is heading to preschool, learning at home, or simply looking to make new friends, we'd love to celebrate with you! While this event is designed with preschoolers and homeschool families in mind, children of all ages are welcome to join the fun.

Event Includes:
🍎 Apple-themed sensory bins
📸 First Day of School photo station
✏️ Decorate your own pencil holder to take home
🎒 School supply swap table (bring supplies to swap or simply browse what's available)
🐝 Open play in our inclusive indoor sensory play space
Light refreshments included

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other local families, make new friends, and kick off the school year in a fun, welcoming environment where every child belongs.

Admission includes all activities and open play. Grip socks are required for all children (available for purchase if needed). Adults attend free with a registered child.

Start your morning with a cozy family tradition at Busy Bees Playhouse! Wear your favorite pajamas and join us for a fun-filled morning of breakfast, books, crafts, and play in our inclusive indoor sensory play space.

10 am- 12 pm

Your registration includes:
🥞 Pancake breakfast with light refreshments
📖 Interactive story time featuring songs, movement, props, and hands-on participation
🎨 A themed take-home craft
🐝 Open play following the event

Our interactive story time is designed to bring books to life through music, movement, sensory experiences, and imaginative play while encouraging language development, early literacy, and social interaction.

This event is perfect for children ages 0–6 , siblings, and their caregivers. Whether you're looking to meet other families, create special memories, or simply enjoy a relaxing morning together, Pancakes & Pajamas is the perfect way to kick off your weekend.

What to bring:
✨ Your favorite pajamas
🧦 Grip socks are required for all children (available for purchase if needed).

Today was a special day. ❤️

I was able to email every parent who signed up for our Back-to-School Backpack Drive to let them know their child will have a backpack waiting for them this Saturday!

Just a few days ago, we weren't sure we'd have enough. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we came together to make sure all 30 children who signed up will receive a backpack and school supplies.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every person, business, and organization that donated, shared our posts, or helped spread the word. Your kindness is making a real difference for local families, and because of you, 30 kids will head back to school feeling prepared and supported.

We can't wait to see everyone this Saturday! 💛🐝
