Gregory was admitted to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute of Libertyville after a stroke resulted in right-sided weakness and the need for assistance with mobility and daily activities. Through hard work and an intensive rehabilitation program, Gregory made remarkable progress. By discharge, he was independently completing daily activities, walking on a treadmill, performing burpees and safely navigating outdoor environments. Gregory shared that his favorite part of rehabilitation was โ€œhaving fun with therapyโ€ and expressed appreciation for the support he received from his care team.

After a severe stroke left him unable to walk, speak or care for himself independently, Boni worked closely with his rehabilitation team at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute of Libertyville to rebuild his strength, mobility and communication skills. Delbert was admitted to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute of Libertyville after a hospitalization that caused a significant decline in his strength, mobility and independence. When he arrived, he required total assistance to stand and could walk only short distances. Through hard work and determination during his rehabilitation stay, Delbert made tremendous progress, regaining his ability to walk independently and improving his ability to complete daily activities. Bernhard was admitted to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute of Libertyville after a serious car crash and an extended hospital stay. When he arrived, he needed assistance from two people for transfers and was unable to walk. Through hard work and dedication in therapy, Bernhard made remarkable progress and advanced to walking 200 feet with a walker and completing transfers and self-care with supervision. Most importantly, he was able to return home to his family. โ€œI think it was the first time I could stand that I felt encouraged and thought, โ€˜I could really do this,โ€™โ€ Bernhard said.
