Lambs Farm is a place where people grow. Through a range of vocational, residential, social & recreational programs, our Participants flourish by leading lives of their own choosing. Lambs Farm also runs several businesses on campus to help support services. Everyone who is involved with Lambs Farm experiences personal growth, including the Participants, their families, Lambs Farm employees, volunteers, donors, and visitors.

Happy ! 🎉

We are excited to bring you another update as more big tasks continue getting checked off the list! The new barn’s ceiling is being finished, our existing buildings are getting fresh coats of paint, new doors, and preparations for brand new roofs. Fresh concrete was also poured for our new walkways!

We know you’ve all been waiting patiently, but these improvements are transforming the Farmyard into a whole new experience. Landscaping projects are coming up soon too, adding even more color and beauty to our updated spaces.

As you look through the photos below, you may notice that the iconic Paul Bunyan and Bessie the Cow have moved to a new spot! Don’t worry, they’re still staying in their Farmyard home! We have just relocated them to the front entrance where they’ll greet guests and eventually be a fun meeting spot for groups.

We will continue to keep you updated on our progress, so hang tight while we remain closed a little longer. Reopening information will be shared as more projects are completed!

LF Studios artists Jody and Patrick are proud to share one of their newest group projects! 🌸

Using clay, paper, wood, resin, and other mixed media elements, they created a spring-inspired artwork that captures the beauty and energy of nature. 🌳

Survival Skills Quest class is always up to something cool! 😎

Participants created a belt pouch and a leather first aid kit that includes a flashlight and pen, combining everything into one compact set. 🩹🖊️🔦

The Farmyard is heartbroken to share the loss of a beloved animal: Valentine the Angora goat. ❤

Valentine was born on Valentine’s Day in 2014 at a hobby goat farm in Wisconsin. Shortly after he arrived at Lambs Farm, Valentine fell ill and needed specialized care every day. His animal keepers rose to the task and lovingly nursed him back to health. Once Valentine had regained his strength, he lived with the herd of animals who also had special needs. He went on to live a long, healthy life after receiving the love and care he needed and deserved.

In his time at Lambs Farm, Valentine developed a variety of new talents, including becoming a skilled painter. He was a Farmyard favorite who knew how to walk on a leash and would often come out to visit guests. While he loved many different types of treats, his favorite thing of all was scratches. Valentine’s silly antics and loving personality will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

We know it won’t be the same without him once the Farmyard reopens, but we know he will forever be in our hearts. 🐐

We are proud to recognize volunteers from the Naval Service Training Command who supported Lambs Farm over the course of two days this past week, once again bringing their dedication and teamwork to a number of outdoor projects across our campus!

The group supported the setup of raised garden beds, including assembling structures, laying landscaping fabric, and filling each bed with mulch. These beds will be used in the annual garden for the Magnolia Café & Bakery, where participants will grow vegetables that will later be used in our homemade meals.

We deeply value our ongoing partnership with the U.S. Navy and the many ways their volunteers continue to show up for Lambs Farm. Thank you for your service, steady partnership, and the many ways you help us grow. 💚
