Have you heard about our innovative new memory care residence for couples? Construction is on schedule for an early 2027 opening!

EverTogether is being built at Brookridge in Winston-Salem for when one partner needs memory care support. Instead of separating the partner with dementia to a separate memory care residence, the couple can continue living together while both partners receive the support that they need.

The residence consists of 12 homes in a circular building. Each home has a studio in the rear that abuts a central courtyard and clubhouse, where the resident with dementia can receive specialized care when their care partner needs to take care of themselves.

At ThriveMore, we know our team members are invaluable and so we strive to make sure they’re always appreciated and their voices heard.

This week we launched a new way to recognize coworkers, collaborate and connect with team members through a new internal communications platform called Community.

As part of the launch, our Communications Director Julianna Jones and Chief HR Officer Allison Vessels visited each of our campuses to talk about the tool and encourage adoption. In the process, they got to see the uniquely talented teams that make each of our campuses the incredible places to work at and call home.

We’re celebrating 75 years of ThriveMore!

Today, the celebration continued at Brookridge as residents, team members, friends and community partners came together to mark ThriveMore’s 75th anniversary. We enjoyed live music, great food and incredible company.

Since 1951, our story has been shaped by generations of people who believed in creating communities where older adults can live with purpose, connection and joy. Brookridge became part of that story when it opened in Winston-Salem in 1989, and today we’re grateful to celebrate this milestone together.

Here’s to 75 years of serving, growing and thriving together, and to all that’s ahead!

We had an incredible time last week celebrating our parent company’s 75th anniversary at Taylor Glen.

Residents, team members and friends gathered outside for live music, delicious food and fellowship.

This year Taylor Glen turns 25, while ThriveMore turns 75. It’s a long history of creating places where older adults and team members can thrive. We look forward to the next 75 years!

Maurice Briggs has seen the impact of ThriveMore’s compassionate care from nearly every perspective — as a son whose mother received support at Brookridge, as a chaplain who served residents for 10 years and now as a Brookridge resident himself.

When his mother outlived her financial resources, donor-supported benevolence helped ensure she could continue receiving care without a disruptive move. That experience, along with the dedication Maurice witnessed from team members over the years, inspired him to include the Baptist Retirement Homes Foundation in his estate plans.

Through a planned gift, Maurice is helping extend that same care and support to future generations. His generosity will help provide assistance for residents, invest in the team members who serve them and strengthen resources for older adults across the areas we serve.

During this National Estate Planning Awareness Month, we want you to know that your legacy can reflect the people, values and causes that matter most to you.
