Fall is beautiful. Falling isn't.

As we head into fall, it's a good time to take a fresh look around the house — especially if you have an older loved one living at home.

A few simple things can make a difference:
• Keep walkways and stairs clear
• Make sure rooms and hallways are well lit
• Watch for loose rugs or cords
• Keep frequently used items within easy reach
• Make sure handrails are secure
