Congratulations, Rosie!
Before vision therapy Rosie was struggling with using her eyes together.

Rosie: “When I started vision therapy it was hard to concentrate on using both eyes. My favorite thing about therapy was that I got to explore how my eyes work and there is fun throughout vision therapy. After vision therapy I feel much more confident going to events and it has helped me get less comments on my eyes.”

Congratulations, Linley!
Before vision therapy Linley was struggling with reading and catching a ball.

Linley: “When I started vision therapy it was hard to see small words, read, catch a ball, and do gymnastics. My favorite thing about therapy was playing games with Kelsey and getting done with therapy. After vision therapy it is easier to read, not see double, see smaller print, hit and catch a ball, and see the balance beam.”

Linley’s mom: “We have been so blessed to participate in vision therapy at inSIGHT. Linley has benefited in both school and sports by improving her vision. We are thankful for Kelsey making it fun for her each week and giving us ways to build it into our busy schedule. Dr. Betka is the very best, and we are so thankful for her patience, ability to answer our questions, and coming alongside us during this journey! Thank you so much!”

Thank you to Dr. Krystal Rogge at EyeCare Specialties for recommending vision therapy!

Congratulations, Ellie!
Before vision therapy Ellie was struggling with using both of her eyes at the same time.

Ellie: “When I started vision therapy it was hard to use both of my eyes at the same time and for me to cross my eyes. Sometimes some of the exercises were hard for me. My favorite thing about therapy was the different exercises, especially the card games and the images we did on the TV. I liked earning prizes by doing my exercises each week. Now I can use both of my eyes at the same time and I even learned how to cross them too. It has made being able to see easier and it makes me feel better too.”

Ellie’s Mom: “When Ellie started vision therapy we had no idea the depth of the problem. I thought Ellie just had an eye that would turn out almost daily. After seeing a new eye doctor he agreed it wasn’t something Ellie would grow out of (like others had told us) he referred us to inSIGHT Vision. I remember being so nervous for Ellie and not knowing what to expect. From the first phone call to set up our testing to our therapy sessions, everyone is so kind, compassionate, and understanding. My heart broke when we went over her first testing results, but Dr. Betka reassured me I did nothing wrong at all. I felt relief that someone finally saw what I had been worried about and gave us a plan to give Ellie the tools she needed to be her best self. All of the vision therapists are so patient and kind to Ellie and always greeted us with a smile. No questions went unanswered and the exercises were always well explained. There were times I worried it may be too much for Ellie, but she did so well with it all. I’m truly grateful for everyone at inSIGHT Vision as they have all helped in giving Ellie not only the tools she needs, but her confidence has improved so much and she has really come out of her shell. This has been a great experience for us!”

Thank you to Dr. Kyle Peter at Lifetime Vision Center for recommending vision therapy!

Congratulations, Ellie!
Before vision therapy Ellie was struggling with reading.

Ellie: “When I started vision therapy it was hard to see out of my glasses. I wasn’t wearing my glasses before therapy because they hurt my eyes. My favorite thing about therapy was the prize box! After graduating vision therapy I am excited because I won’t have as much homework.”

Ellie’s mom: “Our daughter’s vision journey started in first grade. She had gotten glasses prior to the school year but she didn’t want to wear them because they ‘hurt her eyes.’ She had zero interest in reading because it was difficult for her. She had difficulties with word recognition and would skip words, make up words, or just plain guess. I had expressed to her teacher that I was concerned about dyslexia. Our daughter always tested ‘at her age’ so she didn’t qualify for more testing. Fast forward to our second grade vision appointment with Dr. Stille at EyeCare Specialiteis. He recommended further eye testing because there was a concern for dyslexia vs. binocular vision, which mimics similar features. We were referred to inSIGHT Vision. We completed 36 weeks of therapy where my daughter improved tremendously and I gained a better understanding of what she was experiencing and going through. My daughter’s reading ability has improved and her standardized scores continue to improve as well. I cannot express how thankful we are to have such a great service available here in Lincoln!! They are the BEST! I cannot say enough great things about our experience.”

Thank you to Dr. Sean Stille at EyeCare Specialties for recommending vision therapy!

This is why we do what we do. 💛

Not because therapy is easy—it isn't.

Not because progress is always quick—it rarely is.

But because every milestone, every breakthrough, and every life changed makes it all worthwhile.

Dr. Betka received this incredibly sweet note from a patient after yesterday's appointment—a reminder that the work happening inside these therapy rooms reaches far beyond improving visual skills. It's about building confidence, creating opportunities, and helping people experience life more fully.

To our patients and families: thank you for trusting us, working hard, and allowing us to be part of your journey. Notes like this mean more than you'll ever know, and they inspire us to keep showing up and giving our very best every day.

Congratulations, Lauren!
Before vision therapy Lauren was struggling with double vision and headaches.

Lauren: “When I started vision therapy it was hard to control my double vision. It would happen a lot during class, especially if I was tired. It gave me headaches and made it hard to focus. My favorite thing about therapy was when we got to play games if we had extra time. I also really love going to the TV room for some exercises. After vision therapy I can cross my eyes on my own. I don’t get double vision, and all of my eye test scores have improved. Also I got a better ACT score after vision therapy!”

Thank you to Dr. Jacob Weber at Eyes on Lincoln for recommending vision therapy!

Congratulations, Brexton!
Before vision therapy Brexton was struggling with reading and coordination in sports.

Brexton: “When I started vision therapy it was hard to pitch a baseball or read. My favorite thing about therapy was getting to meet all the nice people. After vision therapy I can do a lot more things than before and do other things easier.”

Brexton’s Mom: “When we first began vision therapy for our son, Brexton, our goals were to improve his reading comprehension and fluency, strengthen his handwriting, enhance his coordination, improve his depth perception, and help him gain confidence in sports, especially baseball.

“What we have seen as a result of therapy has exceeded our expectations. Not only did Brex accomplish these goals, but he surpassed them in ways we never imagined. His reading skills, confidence, coordination, and overall performance have improved tremendously, and the impact has extended far beyond the areas we originally wanted to address.

“We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Betka and Cherise for their dedication, expertise, and encouragement throughout this journey. Their investment in Brex has truly made a noticeable difference in his life. We also want to give a special thank you to Mary for being such a sweet friend to Brex. Your kindness and support meant so much to him and made each visit even more enjoyable.

“We can’t thank the entire team enough for helping Brex not only reach his goals but exceed them. We are so thankful for the care, encouragement, and hard work that made his story so successful.”

Congratulations, Emma!
Before vision therapy Emma was struggling with headaches and focusing.

Emma (Notes from mom in parenthesis): “When I started vision therapy it was hard to not have headaches and to not have blurry vision. (This impacted Emma’s schooling and extracurriculars.) My favorite thing about therapy was the games, and the fun. (Some weeks it became a family time when doing her homework because her brothers were intrigued and thought it was fun.) I will miss Kelsey a lot and I will miss Dr. Betka. (I hope that Emma will continue to work hard and use her experience to continue building her confidence.)”

Emma’s Mom: “Emma’s vision therapy journey has made a positive difference in her daily life. Before vision therapy she struggled with headaches and focusing, especially at school. Since starting, and now completing, vision therapy, her headaches are gone, concentrating has improved, and she is less frustrated with tasks that used to be difficult for her. We’ve noticed more confidence, somewhat better attention, and overall she is happier and more comfortable. We are thankful for the inSIGHT team and for the progress Emma has made so quickly.”

Congratulations, Breah!
Before vision therapy Breah was struggling with headaches and visual fatigue.

Breah: “When I started vision therapy it was hard to read without getting a headache, do math story problems, and spell words. My favorite thing about therapy was working with Cherise and seeing her every week! After vision therapy I don’t have headaches as much, I have better peripheral vision and my handwriting is better.”

Breah’s Mom: “Before vision therapy, Breah was struggling with headaches at school and was often very tired despite getting adequate sleep, which was making it difficult for her to concentrate and learn at school. We mentioned this at Breah’s annual eye exam last summer and Dr. Rogge referred us to inSIGHT for vision therapy. After learning what vision therapy is, we realized it could help with many other things we noticed in Breah’s reading and math skills.

“Since starting vision therapy, we have seen the many ways it has helped her–headaches have gone away, she has grown leaps and bounds in math and reading, better handwriting, improved peripheral vision as well as her increased confidence to do those things she struggled with before vision therapy.

“We are grateful to all the staff at inSIGHT but especially Dr. Betka, Cherise, and Mary who played such a pivotal role in her success with vision therapy. Thank you!”

Thank you to Dr. Krystal Rogge at EyeCare Specialties for recommending vision therapy!
