More about Sarah:
Describe NHO in 3 words:
Supportive, dedicated, compassionate
What are your hobbies or things you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy being with my family, camping, movies/TV shows, listening to music, and reading. I like to dabble in crafts like hand-embroidery and quilting if I have the time.
What’s a fun fact about yourself?
I wanted to pursue photography professionally after graduating high school and my Dad pushed me to go to college instead of "taking a break" - I may not be in the medical field if it weren't for him!
What is one thing you want to do at least once in your life?
See the Aurora Borealis.
What famous person would you most want to be friends with?
Tom Hanks.. I'm going to add Steve Martin and Martin Short, too! And Julia Roberts? I've bent the rules!
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about you?
I love to learn about most anything and everything.
Do you have a favorite memory of your time working at NHO?
I started here as a brand new nurse fresh out of nursing school. I'll always cherish the support and mentorship I received - it helped me to build confidence, evolve my skills, and develop into the nurse that I am today.
What has changed at NHO through the years?
When I started we had under 50 staff (including billing/front office/management)! I think we've tripled in size?
What has stayed the same?
The camaraderie among the staff as well as the desire to make a difference, to push forward and do whatever we can to help our patients.
Describe what you love most about working at NHO:
The people! Over the past ten years I've built meaningful relationships with coworkers and patients - The work we do on a daily basis not only makes a difference for the patients, but the staff as well!
