More about Lauren...
Describe NHO in 3 words:
Caring. Innovative. Supportive.
What are your hobbies or things you like to do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my husband and our three kids, especially when weāre camping and making memories together. During the colder months, you might find me crafting, sewing, or working on embroidery projects.
Whatās a fun fact about yourself?
I absolutely love sharing stories and hearing other peopleās storiesābig or small. Whether itās an unforgettable life event or simply telling me about your road trip and how you made your husband stop to take a picture of the Flint Hills, share it with me! Everyoneās life is made up of unique experiences, and I truly cherish those moments where we can connect, relate, and learn something new from each other.
What is one thing you want to do at least once in your life?
I would love to volunteer on a medical mission trip one day, when my kids are older of course. Iāve never left the country!
What famous person would you most want to be friends with?
Iād say Seth Rogen. Heās just a funny guy! He comes across as easygoing, approachable, and someone you could have a great conversation with. I enjoy his sense of humor, and I think heād be the kind of friend who could turn even an ordinary day into a memorable one.
Whatās one thing you want everyone to know about you?
I genuinely care about people. Whether itās patients, coworkers, or friends, I always try to show up with kindness, work hard, and help however I can.
Do you have a favorite memory of your time working at NHO?
One of my favorite memories at NHO is realizing that Tiffany and Chelsea in Infusion are sisters. Somehow, I worked at NHO for over two years before putting the pieces together! The moment I found out, everything suddenly made so much sense. They both are so special and their personalities very different. I immediately started asking around to see if anyone else had just learned this tooā¦only to discover I was probably the one person at NHO to take so long figure it out. We had a good laugh, and itās still one of those funny little moments that makes me smile.
Describe what you love most about working at NHO:
The patients are what I love most about working here. Being invited into such a personal part of someoneās life is a privilege I never take for granted. They trust us on some of their hardest days, and in return, they teach me more about strength, hope, and kindness than they probably realize.
