Congratulations to our Director of Infusion Services, Sara, on 20 incredible years with NHO! šŸŽ‰

If you know Sara, you know she is just as hardworking and dedicated to nursing as she is to caring for everyone—staff and patients alike—who walk through our doors.

Thank you for making NHO such an amazing place to be, Sara, and for two decades of exemplary work and compassionate care. We are so grateful for you! ā¤ļø

Describe NHO in 3 words:
Dedicated, Compassionate, Trusted

What are your hobbies or things you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy early morning walks in the country and hitting the trails.

What’s a fun fact about yourself?
I’m a farm girl at heart! I also love to sing—and if I don’t know the lyrics, I just ramble through the words and turn the radio up loud enough to cover me. šŸ™‚

What is one thing you want to do at least once in your life?
Travel to Rome and Hawaii.

What famous person would you most want to be friends with?
Dolly Parton! She’s kind, genuine, has a great sense of humor, and never forgets where she came from. I admire how she uses her success to help others.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about you?
I value honesty, integrity, and being someone people can trust. And I love nachos and frosted cookies! I try to save them for my birthday. 😊

Do you have a favorite memory of your time working at NHO?
I had such a great time working in the admixture room when I was a mixer. We worked so well together and had so many great conversations. I want that for everyone who works at NHO because building wonderful relationships is so important. Another favorite memory was working in the infusion room and caring for patients. I loved all of our conversations and getting to know them.

What do you love most about working at NHO?
The sense of teamwork and support. We truly have each other’s backs. I know I can count on my teammates whenever I need help, and I hope they know they can always count on me. That trust and willingness to support one another creates a positive environment for both our team and our patients.

This month, we're celebrating 5 years with our incredible Nurse Navigator, Lauren!

Lauren's compassion, creativity, and dedication help ensure our patients experience a seamless transition from their hospital stay into the care of their team at NHO. She goes above and beyond to make every patient feel supported during an important step in their cancer journey.

Please join us in congratulating Lauren and thanking her for five years of exceptional care and commitment to our patients. šŸ’™

More about Lauren...

Describe NHO in 3 words:
Caring. Innovative. Supportive.

What are your hobbies or things you like to do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my husband and our three kids, especially when we’re camping and making memories together. During the colder months, you might find me crafting, sewing, or working on embroidery projects.

What’s a fun fact about yourself?
I absolutely love sharing stories and hearing other people’s stories—big or small. Whether it’s an unforgettable life event or simply telling me about your road trip and how you made your husband stop to take a picture of the Flint Hills, share it with me! Everyone’s life is made up of unique experiences, and I truly cherish those moments where we can connect, relate, and learn something new from each other.

What is one thing you want to do at least once in your life?
I would love to volunteer on a medical mission trip one day, when my kids are older of course. I’ve never left the country!

What famous person would you most want to be friends with?
I’d say Seth Rogen. He’s just a funny guy! He comes across as easygoing, approachable, and someone you could have a great conversation with. I enjoy his sense of humor, and I think he’d be the kind of friend who could turn even an ordinary day into a memorable one.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about you?
I genuinely care about people. Whether it’s patients, coworkers, or friends, I always try to show up with kindness, work hard, and help however I can.

Do you have a favorite memory of your time working at NHO?
One of my favorite memories at NHO is realizing that Tiffany and Chelsea in Infusion are sisters. Somehow, I worked at NHO for over two years before putting the pieces together! The moment I found out, everything suddenly made so much sense. They both are so special and their personalities very different. I immediately started asking around to see if anyone else had just learned this too…only to discover I was probably the one person at NHO to take so long figure it out. We had a good laugh, and it’s still one of those funny little moments that makes me smile.

Describe what you love most about working at NHO:
The patients are what I love most about working here. Being invited into such a personal part of someone’s life is a privilege I never take for granted. They trust us on some of their hardest days, and in return, they teach me more about strength, hope, and kindness than they probably realize.

We're proud to announce that NHO Revive expects to activate an Expanded Access Protocol (EAP) for Daraxonrasib as early as next week.

This program may provide eligible patients with stage 4 pancreatic cancer access to this investigational therapy before potential FDA approval, offering an additional treatment option for patients whose current therapy is no longer effective or cannot be tolerated.

Once the protocol is active, we'll begin accepting referrals from healthcare providers and inquiries from patients interested in learning whether they may qualify.
