Strawberries top the most-contaminated produce list year after year, and they're the first thing my girls reach for. Testing keeps turning up multiple pesticide residues on conventional berries, and some of them are not the kind that rinse away. That quick pass under the tap most of us grew up doing just isn't doing what we hoped. 🍓

I'm not telling anyone to stop buying berries. We still buy them every week. We just added one small step between the grocery bag and the fruit bowl, and the little question mark I used to feel setting that bowl on the counter is gone. 💕

I stopped washing my family’s clothes with Tide because I realized I was coating their skin with chemicals every single wash. 💚 That strong chemical smell I thought meant clean? This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever bought and I have zero regrets. 😂

They’re little chicken charms that turn from pale to roasted when they hit the sun. That’s it. That’s the whole thing. My girls lost their minds when they saw it, and honestly so did I.

I was scrolling through fall decor and found these cute ghost candles priced at way more than they're worth. My first instinct was to buy them. Then I stopped and actually thought about it, these are so simple to make. Why am I paying store markup when I can make them at home for a fraction of the price? 💚

I grabbed the supplies, made them with my kids, and they turned out better than the ones I was going to buy. Cost me a quarter of what the store was charging. Suddenly fall decor became something meaningful instead of just another purchase.

Now before I buy anything seasonal, I ask myself if I can make it. Most of the time, I can. And it's cheaper, better quality, and way more satisfying.

We're 6 weeks into summer break and this is the toy my kids can't stop begging to play with. It comes as a set of two with two remotes, so they race each other instead of fighting over a turn. Screen-free afternoons and the easiest parenting win I've had all summer 💖
