Today marks the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks that forever changed New York City and the nation. Nearly 3,000 people were killed when al Qaida hijackers crashed four jetliners into the twin towers, the Pentagon and a field in southwest Pennsylvania. On this day every morning for the past 25 years, families who lost loved ones in the worst terror attack on American soil make the solemn trek to observe the six moments of silence, hear the reading of the names, and fulfill a sacred promise to never forget.

Although Nebraska passed legislation several years ago to become part of the Counseling Compact, Nebraska is not yet active in the Counseling Compact system and there is not yet a timeline scheduled for this to occur. We continue to monitor the status and plan to provide telehealth services in other states when the Nebraska portion of the Compact becomes active.

Licensed Counselors have the opportunity to practice in seven active Counseling Compact states. This means that Counselors living and licensed in one of the active states can receive privileges to practice in the other five states. While many other states have passed Counseling Compact legislation, they must complete administrative and technical work before privileges to practice can be issued. Independence Day (aka the Fourth of July), is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the Declaration of Independence, which was ratified by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America. Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday as we celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary.

The results of the Client Satisfaction Survey for June 2026 are now posted on our website. Average satisfaction ratings for each of the nine categories ranged from 88% to 100% with an overall satisfaction rating of 97%. (Services were provided in our CARF-accredited Dual Diagnosis Outpatient Treatment program.)

We respond to inquiries within one business day (CST/CDT). Positive and critical feedback is welcomed and encouraged.

Today is the 15th anniversary of the founding of our organization by our President, Brenda Rohren in Spring 2011. Behavioral Health Resources was incorporated as a Limited Liability Company (LLC) in Lincoln, Nebraska on June 8, 2011. We are so grateful to our staff, therapy clients, and CARF consulting customers.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. The service of military personnel is very much needed and appreciated as well as the support of military families. As we celebrate Memorial Day weekend, please remember those who have sacrificed so much for the security and benefit of us all.
