Screen Time Reset 📱 A new school year is the perfect time for a screen time reset. Start fresh with healthy screen habits that support sleep, learning, connection and balance.

Here’s how:
👀 Set clear expectations — Make sure everyone knows when, where and how screens can be used.

🍽️ Create screen-free times — Try meals, homework time or bedtime as opportunities to unplug and connect.

⚖️ Talk about balance — It’s not just about setting limits. Talk about making time for sleep, school, friends, family, activities and time offline, too.

Small changes can make a big difference. Start the school year with healthy screen habits! 🔗 Get more tips: https://bit.ly/47f2ALL

Check out the following tips for boating safely. 🚤🚤

🚤☀️ Enjoy the Water. Boat Sober.

Summer days on the water are meant to be fun, but alcohol and boating can be a dangerous combination.

🚫 If you’re operating the boat, stay sober. Alcohol can affect judgment, balance and reaction time, making it harder to respond quickly to changing conditions. Boating under the influence is illegal in North Dakota.

🛟 Make sure everyone has a properly fitted life jacket
👀 Keep a close eye on children around the water
🌦️ Check the weather and water conditions before heading out
🤝 If drinking is part of the day, plan ahead and have a sober person operate the boat

Have fun. Stay safe. Make it home. 🌊

🍎 Preventing Underage Drinking: Start the School Year Strong

Back-to-school season brings new routines, new friends, and sometimes new pressures. A few small steps can help your child feel supported and make healthy choices:
💬 Talk early and often. Transitions can be stressful. Keep open, judgment-free conversations going.
🎨 Encourage after-school activities: sports, music, scouts, and clubs help kids build confidence and friendships.
📚 Stay involved...whether it’s showing up for events or sitting with them during homework, it matters.
👥 Get to know your child’s friends and their parents.
🧠 Talk about peer pressure and how to handle tricky situations.
Your support and guidance make all the difference.
