This mare came in from Florida with the only information as “grass founder”. She was quite uncomfortable. I chose the black steward clog and rasped the breakover back just a bit. Later X-rays showed we achieved optimal breakover just at the tip of the coffin bone(which does show some pedal osteitis) for minimal leverage and pressure. Sure is rewarding when we get it right for the horse!
