Keep going. You're not finished yet. Each moment, you're committing to the moment after that. We walk with you.

As Su***de Prevention and Recovery Awareness Month comes to a close, this is a reminder that your wounds will heal. We need to feel them and invite opportunities to understand the stories that caused them. We cannot do that alone.

There is light in darkness even when it seems impossible. Always.

Connection is the antidote to struggle and loneliness. At Your Story Counseling, Angie’s Place, and Olimene Counseling Services, we believe caring for our communities extends beyond the work that happens inside our offices.

Supporting organizations and initiatives that promote mental health, reduce stigma, and help people find hope has always been important to us. This year, a small group from our team — The Next Chapter Crew — will be walking alongside American Foundation for Su***de Prevention AFSP Illinois Chapter in the Out of the Darkness Chicagoland Walk.

We’ll join survivors, families, friends, mental health professionals, and community members who have all been touched by su***de in different ways — coming together to remember, to raise awareness, and to remind people that they do not have to face difficult chapters alone.

There’s no fundraising ask from us here. We simply want to share something our team believes in, support the important work of su***de prevention, and perhaps encourage a few more conversations about a subject that too often remains in the shadows.

Different stories. A stronger tomorrow. And hopefully, many more chapters still to be written. 💜🩵

Twenty-five years later, we remember.

We remember the lives lost, the loved ones who carry their absence, and all those forever changed by September 11, 2001.

“What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”
— Helen Keller

May we honor their memory with compassion, kindness, and care for one another.

We remember. 🤍💙❤️

We stepped back from social media for a while. Time to check back in — with our people, for our people.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month and National Recovery Month. For first responders, veterans, and military families, we know these conversations come with extra weight — the "I should be able to handle this" voice is loud in this community.
We built Angie's Place because you shouldn't have to handle it alone, and reaching out isn't failure or weakness.

It's a good day to be a part of a great event! Playing bags can be a spectator sport especially when it supports a great family and two important organizations. The bonus? Craft’d is hosting, AND Out Of Service, the HOTTEST band in Chicagoland, keeps the party going! 🔥🔥

Thank you 100 Club of Illinois and Lisle-Woodridge Fire Fighters Union IAFF Local 2986 for the opportunity to support YOU and for YOUR support of first responders and their families. 💙❤️🫵
