Join me as I bring the "Breath Between Generations" to the Litchfield Community Center on Monday, May 18, at 9 a.m.

Since we carry the DNA, the lessons, and the love of those we've lost within our own bodies, we will allow Grief Yoga (breath, movement and sound) to become the bridge between the physical world and the divine. We will release the heaviness to connect to more love and contentment.

My 75-minute, monthly Grief Yoga class is on Sunday, May 10. It is Mother’s Day. This day may be filled with emotion for you. Come practice with me that morning at 10 a.m. Let us hold space for one another.

The theme: The Breath Between Generations.
“Whether you’re grieving a mother, a child, or the relationship you never had, we’ll move from the physical ‘weight’ of grief into a space of gentle honoring.”

*Please note, Grief Yoga is about emotional liberation not physical flexibility. Anyone can participate. No prior yoga experience necessary. Chairs are available if needed.

What kind of "grief" are you currently navigating through? What's got you feeling heavy or stuck? Is there anything that is weighing you down that you are ready to offer up? If you are ready to take that compassionate step toward peace, calm and healing, I would like to offer you a safe space and practice to explore. Together, we witness our grief. Together, may we see our healing. 🙏💫

Teach what you need to learn: For those joining this morning 9:15 am at Steel Beach Gym on your yoga mat, this is my dharma talk and will be our practice:

Becoming the Observer

It’s all just energy. We label the energies with our mind through attachments, desires and fears. The only interaction we have is with the here and now, the present moment. The practice is to continue coming back to the now, the YOU that is behind the thinking mind, the you that is the observer. Sit there. View your thoughts as they come and go. Do not get attached. Come back to your breath. Sit. Let go. Recognize that those thoughts are stories your ego mind creates from past experiences and projects onto future experiences through fear of the unknown. Sit in the present. Find your breath. Relax. Release. Repeat. That is your spiritual practice.
