Hey family and friends—and if we haven’t met, I’m Karen Raymond. Many of you know me as Karen Benson, or just KB from 24th and Market Street in Wilmington, Delaware. ❤️

I’ve been in the tax business for over a decade, but I’ve never really told you how I got started. I believe now is the time.

Twenty-one years ago, I moved to Atlanta to start a new life. It’s been a walk of faith, with plenty of obstacles along the way. And somewhere in that journey, I found something that would become my business.

In 2011, I started preparing taxes for friends and family for free. In 2015, after my bankruptcy was discharged, I started KB Professional Tax Service with just $50.

I didn’t start with a lot of money or everything figured out. I started with what I had, kept learning, and kept going.

While building this business, life kept happening too. Preparing for marriage, becoming a wife three years ago, and growing into that role have been a journey of their own. I’m still learning, but I’m proud that I didn’t give up.

Today, I still help people with personal and small-business taxes. Now I want to help others learn how to prepare taxes and take steps toward building their own business.

That’s why I’m offering training, business coaching, and mentorship starting October 15. I want to share what I’ve learned and help you get started, just like I once had to start.

If you’ve been saying, “I’m gonna do it,” “I should’ve done it,” or “Maybe next year”—I know that feeling. I’ve been there.
