During CPR and AED Awareness Week, residents and team members had the opportunity to build lifesaving skills through hands-on training and education. Participants learned Hands-Only CPR, practiced how to use an AED, discovered heart-healthy facts, and gained the confidence to step in and help save a life during an emergency. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who participated and took the time to learn these important skills. A special thank you to Katie Overly Assistant Personal Care Administrator and Director of Nursing, Sherrie Rutherford Clinical Program Coordinator and Jenna Reyes LPN for sharing their knowledge, leading the training, and helping us gain these valuable lifesaving skills.

The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) recognized our facilities — The Courtyards Skilled Nursing and the Rehabilitation Center at Brethren Village — as an Age-Friendly Health System - Committed to Care Excellence.

This designation entails reliably providing a set of four evidence-based elements of high-quality care, known as the “4Ms,” to all older adults in your system: What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility.

Age-Friendly Health Systems is an initiative of The John A. Hartford Foundation and IHI, in partnership with the American Hospital Association (AHA) and the Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA).

☀️ What an incredible week at BV Summer Camp 2026! 🎶💙

This year’s theme, Making Footprints Worth Following, came to life through worship, service, laughter, friendship, delicious food, and unforgettable memories shared together across campus. From meaningful service projects and creative activities to games, music, fellowship, and plenty of fun along the way, each day reminded us of the impact we can make by following in the footsteps of Jesus. 👣

Thank you to everyone who helped make this week so special. Your energy, kindness, and spirit made BV Summer Camp another amazing success! ⛺🏕

BV Summer Camp is back, and this year’s theme is Making Footprints Worth Following.

Day 1 of 3 began with an opening session filled with camp songs and hymns, along with a motivational kickoff message from Lampeter COB Pastor Chris Shelly about following in the footsteps of Jesus. Residents then enjoyed a baked potato bar lunch before spending the afternoon participating in a variety of meaningful activities.

Today’s highlights included a service trip cleaning up a local park, packing blessing bags, water volleyball, card making, and games with friends.

We look forward to continuing a wonderful week of fellowship, service, and fun at BV Summer Camp! 💙🏕⛺
