We believe in babies pulling their weight around the house with chores! JK, but seriously, we love bringing baby along to wash bottles, fold laundry and tidy the kitchen. They love the sound of the water and listening to us yap about what we’re doing. Their parents love a little break. 🧺🧼🧹🍼

As a disabled doula, I modify a lot of aspects of infant care and household support. I hope that by watching me sit to do things like assemble bottles & pump parts, exhausted parents will start to do the same. Postpartum recovery needs real rest and gentle care for your body. It’s ok to slow down and change how you do things!

Packing away the newborn clothes and bringing out the 0-3’s for your client is always bittersweet. When it’s a repeat client and their final baby, it’s just straight bitter 😭 We’ll miss this family so much!

You might be a if your workout is late at night and planned around when you have a shift with a 12 lb baby vs a 6 lb baby 😂 If I’m going to be sore, I want it to be while I’m with the dainty little lady tomorrow night! If you’re a night shifter, how do you plan your life around it?

On Tuesday at my postpartum shift, big brother helped me fold laundry and today, baby sister held my hand for the first time. There is nothing like working with repeat clients 😍 Being welcomed back for the next baby is the highest compliment!

was SO much fun with my own Doula-in-Training 💕 The littlest Texans came ready to play and were absolutely star struck 🤩 by my outfit. If a toddler asks me to sing songs, I’m hopping that 🐇 bunny and singing with a glad heart! Thank you to everyone who made this event such a success.

Baby Day at the Library is coming up on Saturday, April 18! 🚼✨ A celebration of the first three years of life, this event is being held in conjunction with Baby Day 2026, a statewide celebration of early childhood by First3Years, the Texas Association for Infant Mental Health. The day will include special activities for kids ages zero to three, as well as learning sessions for caregivers. Here's a schedule of activities for the day:

🍼 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Child Safety Seat Checks provided by the Flower Mound Police Department in the Library parking lot.

🍼 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Games and activities for children ages three and under in the Program Room.

🍼 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Rooted Therapies will host an educational program for caregivers to learn about speech development and occupational therapy for babies and toddlers in the Multipurpose Room.

🍼 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Baby Storytime will be held throughout the day in the Children's Program Room.

All of this is happening at the Flower Mound Public Library (3030 Broadmoor Ln.). Registration is not required, but it will help First3Years count how many people are participating statewide. To register, visit www.flowermound.gov/libraryevents.

If you’ve got a baby (or a soon-to-be baby 👀), this is such a sweet, low-pressure way to get out of the house, meet other parents, and let your little one explore. Think: books, play, connection… and maybe a chance for you to drink your coffee while it’s still warm.
