Well… Lexi got her first little boo-boo today. 🥺
We were out on one of our walks when she suddenly spotted a duck hiding in a bush. Before I could even react, she lunged toward it, and a branch must have caught her right next to her eye.
When I saw a little bit of blood, my heart absolutely dropped.
Thankfully, it wasn’t her actual eye. She just ended up with a small cut right beside it, and she’s completely fine.
I, on the other hand, was definitely more shaken up than she was.
She’s already acting like nothing ever happened while I’ve probably checked her little cut twenty times to make sure it’s still okay.
I’d say today was a good reminder that we still have a little work to do on our “leave it” command… especially when ducks are involved.
Needless to say, this girl keeps me on my toes.
