A big thank you to everyone at our Aynor Health Center for creating such a welcoming environment for our patients and community members.

Today, we were pleased to welcome Brandon Jones, Vice President of Health Center Capacity Building with the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), for a tour. After a very rainy morning, the skies cleared, giving us a beautiful day to showcase all that's happening in Aynor.

It was the perfect time to visit, with our pharmacy in full swing and both our medical and dental teams providing care to patients throughout the day.

LRMC CEO Pam Davis and Chief Pharmacy Officer Kris Chiplinski led the tour, joined by LRMC Board Member David Dorman.

We're grateful for NACHC's continued support and advocacy for community health centers across the country, not just during National Health Center Week, but all year long. We're also thankful for our Board of Directors, leadership team, and especially our incredible Aynor team, whose compassion, teamwork, and dedication bring our mission to life every day.

Collaboration in action.

The number of uninsured women in South Carolina is expected to rise significantly with the end of enhanced Affordable Care Act tax credits, increased insurance premium costs, and new Medicaid policies. Many low-income women and families are at risk of losing health insurance coverage due to these changes.

Last month, New Morning brought together staff from nonprofit community health centers across South Carolina for a day of learning, collaboration and practical solutions for increasing the number of uninsured, low-income women’s enrollment in Medicaid.

Together, we're building stronger partnerships and improving access to care across South Carolina.
