Here’s one way physical therapy plays a role in fall prevention:

Static and Dynamic Exercises: Therapists work with patients to improve both static (standing still) and dynamic (moving) balance. This could include standing on one leg, shifting weight from side to side, or using unstable surfaces like foam pads to challenge balance.
Coordination Drills: Exercises that involve changing direction, stepping over obstacles, or responding to external stimuli (like catching a ball) help improve reflexes and coordination, reducing the risk of falls.
