Periods can be uncomfortable, but they should not routinely leave you doubled over or missing work and life. Endometriosis happens when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows where it does not belong, causing painful periods, pelvic pain, pain during s*x, and sometimes trouble getting pregnant. Too many women are told their pain is "normal" and wait years for answers. You do not have to. If your pain is running your calendar, let's look into it.

There is no one "best" birth control. There is only the one that fits your body, your life, and your goals right now. Pills, the patch, the ring, the shot, implants, hormonal and copper IUDs, and barrier methods all work differently, and what suited you at 22 may not be what you want at 35.
