💚Understanding Co-Occurring Disorders💚

Mental health and substance use disorders often occur together.

This is known as a co-occurring disorder.

Many individuals seeking treatment may also struggle with:

▪ Depression
▪ Anxiety
▪ PTSD
▪ Bipolar Disorder
▪ Other mental health conditions

Successful recovery often requires addressing both challenges at the same time.

Treating one without the other can leave barriers to long-term recovery.

At Recovery Centers of Arkansas, we focus on treating the whole person.

💚 National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

Mental health challenges affect people from every background, but not everyone has equal access to care.

This month, we recognize the importance of reducing stigma, increasing awareness, and ensuring that every individual has access to quality mental health and substance use treatment.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to heal.

Everyone deserves support.

Everyone deserves hope.

Recovery Centers of Arkansas remains committed to helping individuals and families access compassionate, evidence-based care in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.

This Independence Day, we celebrate a different kind of freedom—the freedom that comes from recovery.

Freedom from addiction.
Freedom from shame.
Freedom from hopelessness.
Freedom to rebuild relationships, pursue dreams, and embrace a healthier future.

Recovery is not about what you leave behind—it's about everything you gain.

At Recovery Centers of Arkansas and Oasis by RCA, we witness every day how treatment and recovery open doors to new opportunities, renewed purpose, and lasting hope.

This July, celebrate the courage it takes to choose recovery and the freedom that follows.

💙🎨 A Gift That Perfectly Captures Healing 🎨💙

Today, we are incredibly honored and humbled to receive this beautiful painting, appropriately titled "Oasis," from one of our talented alumni of Oasis by Recovery Centers of Arkansas, presented to our amazing Recovery Counselor Blair, pictured.

As they presented this artwork, they shared these words that touched our hearts:

"This was what I pictured as my safe space while I was here at Oasis."

There could be no greater compliment.

This painting beautifully reflects what Oasis strives to be for every person who walks through our doors—a place of peace in the midst of chaos, hope in moments of despair, and healing in the journey toward recovery. Like the waterfall flowing through this artwork, healing isn't always easy, but it is powerful, restorative, and life-giving.

To our incredible alumni, thank you for sharing your talent and, even more importantly, your heart with us. Your painting will serve as a daily reminder that recovery is possible and that creating a safe, compassionate space can change lives.

We are so proud of you and grateful that Oasis will always hold a special place in your story—just as you will forever hold a special place in ours. 💙
