Community means walking together — and also remembering together.
This morning, Good Shepherd Community gathered alongside family and friends for our annual Memorial Service to honor the residents who passed away this past year. It was a beautiful service of remembrance filled with prayer, candle lighting, and the peaceful sounds of piano hymns like "Be Thou My Vision" and "He Leadeth Me."
Our deepest thanks to Chaplain Nixon for organizing this meaningful event, to Reverend Kayte Chambers for her comforting words, and to our building managers, who stood in the gap to honor the residents they saw and cared for day in and day out. In lighting those candles, they truly honored the neighbors they watched over.
To the families who trusted us with your loved ones: they are dearly missed, and they will never be forgotten. 🤍
