Sign up today for the next ARBEST webinar "A Proactive Approach to Mental Health: Expanding Supports beyond Treatment" presented by Dr. Allison Smith.

Register here: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_jVkzzt6xQra5-mk40fErnQ

Date: August 24, 2026
Time: 12:00 p.m. CST (Noon)
Presenter: Allison Smith, PhD
Description: Mental health care is often reactive, focused on addressing difficulties once they have taken hold. One of the most powerful ways to make a long-term difference is to shift this perspective from reactive to proactive. Therapists are uniquely situated to lead that shift. They can help children adopt a proactive mindset toward their own mental health and support the important relationships around them (with educators, parents, and other caregivers) in understanding it too. When we reframe coping skills as positive mental health practices rather than tools reserved for moments of distress, we help normalize mental health and promote healthy habits across whole families. This webinar introduces a practical toolkit and framework for weaving these proactive strategies into work with children and the systems that surround them, with school settings as a key focus but not the only one. Participants can earn a CEU for attending the webinar.

Title: Supporting Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences
Date: July 29th, 2026
Time: 12:00 pm CST (Noon)
Presenters: Drs. Sufna John, Glenn Mesman, and Allison Smith
Description: The HOPE (Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences) framework is a strengths-based, model that centers on positive childhood experiences (PCEs) as a way to promote healthy development and buffer the effects of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). It focuses attention on what helps children thrive rather than focusing primarily on the adverse impacts of traumatic stress. This webinar will help mental health professionals translate the framework into practice, offering concrete ways to identify and strengthen PCEs in assessment, treatment planning, and everyday work with children and families. Participants can earn a CEU for attending this webinar.
