On October 21,1986 in England, Arkansas. Mr. Cleotis and Mrs. Doris Johnson were honored with the arrival of a new beautiful baby girl. They named her Cleshonda Renae Johnson.
Cleshonda was baptized into the Church of Christ at a very young age. She was a member at the Purdon Street Church of Christ in England, Arkansas. Later in life she met and married Donzell Lamont Shephard Sr. They have been united in holy matrimony for nine years until death did they part.
She grew up as a tomboy, but became a beautiful and intelligent Registered Medical Assistant and a mother. She loved singing, working, and most of all she loved her children and her family. Cleshonda always had the mindset of putting everyone first and making sure everyone was okay. Cleshonda had a great love for her family, friends, and her Co workers. She had a very unique relationship with people she loved and shared time with. She loved to laugh, joke around, and talk on the phone. Most of all she loved her Kids. Cleshonda was a great daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, cousin and friend. She was loving and fun to be around. She and Donzell enjoyed walking across the "Big Dam Bridge."
Cleshonda graduated from England High School with the Class of 2005, she also graduated from Pulaski Tech College in Little Rock, where she received her Certificate as a Registered Medical Assistant so that she could move forward in caring for others and working with others in the medical field.
She worked for SWN for a while, Little Rock Spine & Pain Clinic, Walmart store #1105 on North McCain Blvd where she enjoyed her coworkers, and the customers. She was often called Shonda at Walmart and lastly, she also worked at the Arkansas Asthma & Allergy Family Clinic in Little Rock, on Markham. One of many jobs that Cleshonda did was to make calls for different Doctors as well as take care of patients.
She enjoyed playing T-Ball, she became interested in football only when her son started playing it. Romantic movies were her favorites to watch, but she also got into watching mini series, CSI, and her favorite movie was Steel Magnolias. Yes, she did find herself caught up in watching medical tv shows, most of all, Greys Anatomy. She really enjoyed travelling and going on cruises with her family and friends, especially to the Bahamas.
She also loved the color baby blue and the smell of fresh cut grass. In the peak of her life she always loved getting her hair cut in a bob and getting her nails done, she had the most beautiful smile and an amazing laugh. She had that laugh that made you want to laugh. She loved seeing people happy, she loved her friends like they were her sister and brothers. She was an emotional woman, but a strong woman and she knew she could handle whatever came her way with the help of the Lord. She knew in the end she would be alright and at peace. She had two wishes to every woman and man, don’t forget to take care of yourself and get tested and never miss your appointments because THEY MATTER! Overall, Cleshonda Johnson had a heart of gold and that’s the Cleshonda you should always cherish and remember!
Cleshonda leaves to cherish her loving memories and her beautiful smile: Husband; Donzell Lamont Shephard Sr., Children; (daughter) Dalyee Raeann Nichols, (son) Donzell Lamont Shephard Jr. and two stepchildren; Da'nya Maleah Shephard and Amya Denise Shephard, her Parents; Cleotis and Doris Johnson, Siblings; Sister- Capricia (Adam) Mayfield, Brother; Jacoby (Lakilla) Johnson, a Niece; Jabria Johnson, Nephew; Jacoby Johnson Jr., and a host of relatives and friends.
Cleshonda's Memorial Page will remain on our website indefinitely where friends and family can revisit when needed. Trees of Remembrance can still be planted, also photos and words of sentiment can be posted and candles can still be lit as a memorial to her legacy, love, and her laughter.
