Exciting news for Arkansas research!
UAMS researchers have been recently awarded more than $28 million in federal funding to advance medical research right here in our state.
Here's what's happening:
✅ $19.6 million to renew the Arkansas INBRE program — connecting UAMS with 16 colleges and universities across Arkansas to build the next generation of biomedical scientists. This program has been running since 2001!
✅ Grants for research into multiple myeloma (blood cancer), skeletal disease, a hard-to-treat form of skin cancer, and more.
✅ Awards from both the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Defense.
This is what it looks like when Arkansas invests in science. We're proud of every one of our researchers.
