AR WIC Breastfeeding The WIC program is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children.

Breastfeeding is the beginning of healthy eating, growth, and development for babies. The frequent close contact from breastfeeding helps to build a loving relationship that enhances a child’s development. Breastfeeding also provides healthy eating through a nurturing environment that plays a significant role in optimizing health and preventing chronic disease. The WIC program is dedicated to prom

oting and supporting breastfeeding for all mothers and their babies as a part of improving the overall health of Arkansas communities. This is done through the creation of positive environments for families, competency training for health professionals, and access to relevant evidence based resources for local communities.

Activate Your New WIC Card! 🍎

Have you picked up your new Arkansas WIC card? Don't forget to activate your PIN before July 1 so your benefits are ready to use when the new system goes live.

✔️ Call the number on the back of your NEW card. You’ll need your mailing address ZIP code and date of birth.
✔️ Create your 4-digit PIN.
✔️ Keep your current card and continue using it through June 30.
✔️ Use your NEW card to shop beginning July 1. Your current card will not work after June 30.
