If you’re squinting at your screen, dealing with more headaches than usual, or holding your phone just a little farther away, your eyes might be trying to tell you something.

We know that life gets busy, and it’s easy to put off routine care. But small changes in your vision can happen gradually — and often go unnoticed until they start affecting your daily life. A comprehensive eye exam isn’t just about updating your prescription. It’s an important check on your overall eye health.
If it’s been a while, consider this your sign to schedule your next visit. Your eyes do a lot for you; taking care of them is worth it.

Happy National Mango Day!
Sweet, refreshing, and packed with nutrients — mangoes do more than satisfy your taste buds. They can also support your eye health. Mangoes are rich in vitamin A, which helps maintain healthy vision and supports good night vision. They also contain antioxidants like vitamins C and E that help protect eye cells from damage. Plus, nutrients like lutein and zeaxanthin may help filter harmful blue light and support long-term eye health.

It’s a simple (and delicious) way to care for your vision from the inside out. Looking for more ways to support your eye health? Schedule your next eye exam today. 501-664-5354

July is UV Safety Month — a reminder that protecting your eyes from the sun is just as important as protecting your skin. Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays can increase the risk of cataracts, macular degeneration, and other eye conditions over time. Simple steps can go a long way:
• Wear sunglasses that block 100% of UVA and UVB rays
• Choose wraparound styles for added protection
• Pair sunglasses with a wide-brimmed hat
• Never look directly at the sun

Healthy vision starts with daily habits. If you have questions about UV protection or your eye health, schedule an exam with our team. 501-664-5354

Fireworks are a staple of summer celebrations — but they can also pose serious risks to your vision.

Each year, eye injuries from fireworks lead to emergency visits that could have been prevented. Even spectators are at risk, especially when safety precautions aren’t followed. Protect your eyes by:
• Keeping a safe distance from all fireworks
• Never relighting malfunctioning fireworks
• Supervising children closely
• Wearing protective eyewear when handling fireworks

If an eye injury occurs, seek medical attention immediately — prompt care can make all the difference. Celebrate safely and keep your vision protected this season.
