Motherhood rattled me.
Not because I wasn’t prepared for the baby—
but because no one prepared me for what would happen to me.
I remember sitting on the floor of my son’s nursery, crying…
trying to make sense of what I was feeling in real time.
As a clinical psychologist, I had the language for so many things.
But not for this.
That experience is what led me to write RATTLED.
Because what so many mothers go through isn’t just “postpartum”—
it’s a full psychological and emotional transition.
And one thing that’s consistently clear—both personally and in my work—is how much support during that time shapes a mother’s experience.
And how not every mom has access to that support.
That’s why I’m sharing about and their Mother’s Day initiative, Dedicate Your Moment.
They provide low-income mothers with essential supplies for their baby’s first weeks—support that can make a real difference during one of the most vulnerable times for both mom and baby.
If this resonates, you can learn more or support through the link here.
Because every mom deserves to not just get through it—
but to feel it and feel their best.
