South Denver Cardiology Associates 30 of the Region's Leading Cardiologists providing award-winning cardiovascular care.

This exceptional medical group, which was launched in 1973, consists of 27 of the Rocky Mountain region’s finest cardiologists, with over 600 years of combined experience caring for Denver’s heart patients. All physicians are university-trained and board-certified in cardiology and are board-certified in their specialty fields. Many of the physicians were among the first in the area to perform such diagnostic and life-saving procedures as cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty, coronary stenting, non-invasive CT angiography, coronary artery calcium scoring, implantation of cardiac defibrillators, and electrophysiological ablations. Our strong emphasis on prevention and early disease detection has put us at the forefront of wellness education for the community at large. This commitment to enhancing the delivery of cardiac care to our community is what puts SDCA a step ahead of others in patient care and preventative medicine.

Thank you to the Douglas County High School Junior ROTC troupe and Major Myers for retiring our old flags and raising our new ones. We were very honored to have these young men and women come take care of our flags.

Watching the flag being replaced, I felt deep reverence for my family members who served. Sometimes it's the little things in life that mean a lot.

Did you know your blood can speed up your healing? Dr. Karim Meijer, Executive Medical Director of Sports Medicine and Head Team Physician for the Denver Broncos, discusses a treatment option for orthopedic injuries: Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy.

By leveraging the healing properties of your own platelets, PRP can help speed recovery from muscle, tendon, and ligament injuries, reduce pain and inflammation, and potentially delay more invasive treatment options. For more details about the treatment, visit The Sports Center page. https://ow.ly/l8CK50ZBZjK

We know better health starts with better nutrition. The CommonSpirit Fresh to Flourish program is a clinic-embedded produce prescription program designed to provide access to fresh, healthy food within reach of those who need it most. Our recent study, published in the Journal of Primary Care & Community Health, highlights how this solution reduces barriers to nutritious eating and fosters trust and open dialogue with patients.

We’re taking a holistic approach to wellness to address food insecurity. When our providers feel empowered to transform patients’ lives beyond traditional treatments, it fosters compassion, strengthens relationships, and creates a more meaningful care experience for everyone involved.

Read more about how this program is helping us achieve our mission of healing body, mind, and spirit.

At CommonSpirit Health, a commitment to healing body, mind, and spirit drives us to find innovative ways to care for those we serve, especially the vulnerable
