The secret behind accurate captions? Words.

Okay, maybe that's not much of a secret. The secret is an effective dictionary.

Not all AI captioning is created equal.

It's easy to look at different AI captioning solutions and assume they're all doing essentially the same thing. After all, they're all turning speech into text, right?

Not quite.

Different AI engines have different strengths. One might perform exceptionally well with medical terminology, while another handles sports commentary, technical discussions, or conversational speech more accurately.

And those differences matter.

Think about it. The vocabulary used during a basketball game is vastly different from what you'd hear at a medical conference or a city council meeting.

So why would we assume the same AI engine is the best choice for every situation?

Because the goal shouldn't be to simply provide AI captions.
It should be to provide the most accurate, accessible captions possible.

And sometimes, that starts with having the freedom to choose.

Picture this:

You are planning one of the biggest events of the year for one of your most important clients.

You've spent weeks coordinating speakers, schedules, vendors, and attendees. Now you're looking for the right venue.

But as you scroll through the listings, you notice something.

One venue offers wheelchair-accessible entrances and seating, accessible restrooms, real-time captioning, audio description, multilingual translation, and other accessibility features.

The others don't.

You're not just responsible for finding a venue and putting together an event.

You're responsible for creating an experience that reflects your client's reputation.

Every detail matters. Every attendee's experience matters.

Because when someone can't enter a venue, access information, or fully participate, they aren't thinking about who planned the event.

They're remembering who hosted it.

A successful event isn't just about how many people show up. It's about the experience they have once they're there.

As we continue recognizing National Disability Employment Awareness Month, it's important that we do more than talk about inclusion.

We talk a lot about making workplaces accessible for people with disabilities. But what about making sure they have a fair chance to get there in the first place?

Access to education, training, job opportunities, and the support to succeed shouldn't be an uphill battle.

And once someone is hired, we need to do more than accommodate them. We need to listen, value their perspectives, and recognize what they bring to the table.

Because what's the point of opening the door if we aren't willing to make room?

The event industry is competitive. And sometimes, it's the details that set an organization apart.

We've been seeing something exciting in conversations with venues and event organizations.

They're incorporating these services into their proposals, highlighting them in conversations with prospective clients, and making accessibility part of what sets them apart.

They're not waiting for someone to ask for access.

And in doing so, they're creating more value for their clients, reaching broader audiences, and giving people more reasons to choose their venues and services.

This type of value doesn't end with one event. When clients see their needs anticipated before they even have to ask, they become your biggest advocates creating lasting partnerships and new opportunities.

"Fife said there has been an amazing response from the deaf community who want to see more plays because they didn't realize it was something accessible to them. The Ruth has specific performances of its shows where ASL interpreters are provided for the audience.

Fife hopes that any deaf person who sees her in the show is empowered to know they can be an actor and chase their dreams, too."

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

In 2025, the unemployment rate for people with disabilities was 8.3%, roughly twice the 4.1% rate for people without disabilities.

Creating equitable employment opportunities starts with removing barriers and continues with ensuring accessibility throughout the workplace.

Can everyone access the interview?
The meeting?
The training video?
The company-wide announcement?
The conversation happening in real time?

Accessibility should be part of the workplace from the beginning, giving people an equitable opportunity to contribute, grow, and succeed.

This month, we celebrate the talent and contributions of people with disabilities while continuing to push for workplaces where access is built in.

As a Hispanic-owned company, this month gives us an opportunity to celebrate a heritage that is woven into who we are, while also recognizing the many different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences that shape the people we work with every day.

Diversity brings different perspectives to the table, sparks new ideas, and helps us build better solutions.

This month, we’re especially proud to celebrate Hispanic heritage and the people, stories, and contributions behind it.

¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana!

Today is International Day of Sign Languages. 🤟

Sign language is intricate, expressive, and incredibly complex.
It isn’t simply spoken language translated onto the hands. Sign languages have their own grammar, syntax, regional differences, slang, humor, storytelling traditions, and cultural history.

A movement can change meaning.

Facial expressions carry grammatical information.

Where a sign is made can matter.

And just like spoken languages, sign languages vary across countries and communities.

There are hundreds of sign languages used around the world, each representing the people and cultures who use them.

Today is a good day to recognize not only sign languages themselves, but the Deaf communities that have developed, preserved, and passed them on.

Accessibility is important. But so is recognizing language, identity, culture, and history.

Happy International Day of Sign Languages.

We listened.

These are some of the pain points we continue to hear:

• Cost.
• Flexibility.
• Connecting with existing encoders.
• Real-time translation.
• Relying on a single AI engine.

So, we worked to solve them.

VZP Reach is encoder-agnostic, supports multiple AI engines, provides real-time captions and translations, and was built to give organizations more choice, without adding unnecessary complexity.
Sometimes the best technology starts with simply listening.

Want to see what that could look like for your organization? REACH out.
