Faster recovery from spine surgery starts before you ever go to the hospital.

All Neurosurgery One spine surgery patients attend “Spine School” to learn what they can do before and after surgery to heal quicker, take less pain medication and get back to life faster.

The program is called ERAS: Enhance Recovery After Surgery.

Theresa, a Neurosurgery One spine surgery patient, ran up a mountain 5 months after spine fusion. Literally. She ran up Mt Blue Sky. A feat she credits to her spine surgeon’s expertise and her own willingness to follow the ERAS recommendations.

Most people describe trigeminal neuralgia (TN) as an ice pick stabbing through their jaw a dentist hitting a nerve. Only 50 times worse.

Just as devastating as the pain is the fact that many patients suffer for years without anyone actually naming it.

Dr. Prall is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Neurosurgery One who specializes in diagnosing and treating complex nerve conditions that are often overlooked.

In this video, he breaks down what trigeminal neuralgia feels like and why so many patients are misdiagnosed or dismissed before finally getting answers.

Electric, shock-like facial pain isn’t something to ignore or push through.

It may be trigeminal neuralgia, a nerve condition that is often misunderstood but highly treatable with the right diagnosis.

An evaluation with a TN expert – usually a neurosurgeon or neurologist – can help you get answers sooner, and avoid years of unnecessary suffering.

Years of pain, both physical and mental, finally met their match.

Marilyn's life changed when Dr. Beckman recommended a spinal cord stimulator. Not only did it ease her physical pain, but it lifted the mental weight that comes with years of suffering.

A bulging disc = squished donut. Herniated disc=leaky jelly.

Different structurally, but both can irritate nerves. Both can cause pain. Both are treated the same most of the time.

Here’s what matters more than the label: How it’s impacting your life and how we return you to health.

Most patients improve without surgery. With the right combination of movement, time and targeted care, recovery is not only possible – it’s common.

An MRI helps us understand what’s happening, but it doesn’t define your outcome. Our goal isn’t just to name the problem, it’s to move you forward.

Up to 40% of people with epilepsy continue to experience seizures despite taking medication.

These patients often needlessly endure years of this before learning that additional treatment options exist.

Getting an evaluation does not commit you to surgery, but it does give you the chance to learn about today’s minimally invasive procedures and advanced neurostimulation therapies that could help.

At Neurosurgery One, we partner with top epilepsy specialists to provide comprehensive seizure surgery evaluations to help patients explore all available options.

If you or a loved one is living with uncontrolled seizures, start the conversation today, and find more information on our website: https://www.neurosurgeryone.com/blog/seizure-surgery/
