A Journey Within, LLC My dedication lies in assisting you in rediscovering laughter and joy! A Bit About Me

My dedication lies in assisting you in rediscovering laughter and joy!

Having navigated my way through overcoming anxiety, I've realized that evading negative emotions is futile. In fact, attempting to dodge them often exacerbates the situation, leading to feelings of anger or increased anxiety. This can contribute to personal stress and strain in relationships. Many of us are fearful of experiencing pain, causing us to either disconnect, react impulsively, or feel o

verwhelmed. My goal is to offer you support and guidance in learning how to handle emotions safely and acquire coping mechanisms. With my collaborative and non-judgmental counseling approach, you can feel empowered, gain clarity, and mend relationships.

Together, we can navigate the complexities of emotions and relationships and find the path towards healing and growth. Let's work hand in hand to create a space where you can explore your feelings, thoughts, and experiences without fear of judgment. Remember, it's okay to seek help and support. Your well-being and happiness are important, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. Embrace the journey towards self-discovery and emotional well-being. Your brighter, more joyful future awaits!

Feeling stuck by anxiety or past trauma? I combine EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness to create a clear, personalized path toward lasting change. After a thorough assessment, I’ll recommend the primary approach—EMDR to reprocess traumatic memories, CBT to build clearer coping plans, or mindfulness to reduce panic and bring calm—so you see measurable results like fewer panic episodes and stronger daily tools. I’m Jodi — a therapist with formal training and lived experience with anxiety, here to help you find what actually works. Which of these sounds like the relief you need? • EMDR — reduces panic and anxiety by processing distressing memories safely. • CBT — helps reframe trauma responses and change unhelpful thoughts. • EFT — builds better emotional regulation so feelings don’t control your day. I use each approach with compassion and real-world experience, and I’ll recommend what fits your goals. Ready to explore options in Littleton? Healing from trauma is not a linear journey, but it is one you do not have to travel alone. EMDR therapy offers a path to process past experiences by using the brain's natural ability to heal. Using specialized techniques and rhythmic bilateral stimulation, we can transform painful memories into milestones of resilience. Check out our resources to learn how these tools can support your personal growth. https://wix.to/lVtnPgl

Feeling anxious? You’re not alone — your body is simply trying to protect you. Here’s a simple guide to what happens, common triggers, and three evidence-based ways to interrupt anxiety, plus how I use them in therapy.

What your body does: your heart speeds up, breathing changes, muscles tense, and your mind zooms to worst-case scenarios. This is a survival response — uncomfortable but normal.

Common triggers: big changes, relationship stress, work pressure, health worries, and unexpected reminders. Notice what sparks your anxiety without judging yourself.

Three ways to interrupt anxiety:
1) Breathing: Slow, belly breaths calm your nervous system. In sessions I teach paced breathing and practice it with you so it becomes automatic when you need it.
2) Cognitive reframing: Notice and gently challenge unhelpful thoughts. I’ll help you spot thinking traps and try kinder, more balanced alternatives.
3) Behavioral activation: Small action steps break the loop — a walk, a call, or one tiny task. We plan achievable steps together and celebrate progress.

You can learn these skills and more and practice them in a safe, supportive way. I offer in-person therapy in Littleton, CO at 5912 South Cody Street, Suite 301, and virtual options for convenience.

Feeling stuck or drifting apart? I help individuals, couples notice the turning points that often lead people to seek therapy—constant arguing, parenting stress, emotional distance, or repeated misunderstandings. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy and practical communication tools, we work toward measurable change: clearer boundaries, calmer conflict resolution, and a restored sense of connection. I’ve seen couples move from shutdown to honest conversation and parents regain teamwork in just a few months. I’m available for in-person sessions at my Littleton office (5912 South Cody Street, Suite 301) or online. Ready to take the next step? Visit https://wix.to/J8ZRqL8 to learn more or book a session.

Feeling overwhelmed? Here’s a short grounding routine. 1) Find your feet: plant them firmly and take three slow breaths. 2) Engage your senses: name 3 things you can see, 2 you can touch, and 1 you can hear. 3) Anchor with breath: inhale for 4, hold 2, exhale 6. These steps are rooted in evidence-based grounding and breathing techniques that can be used in addition to trauma-informed care and CBT to shift your nervous system back to safety. These tools can be used when you need a quick reset; seek therapy if overwhelm is frequent, intense, or affects daily life. If you’d like compassionate, personalized support in Littleton, CO, I’m accepting clients at 5912 South Cody Street suite 301 or online. Learn more: https://wix.to/cmV7fXf 😊
