Preservé by Motiva is a minimally invasive approach designed to place implants while maintaining the natural support structures of the breast.

Through a small inframammary incision (approximately 2.5–3 cm), a controlled tunnel is created over the muscle and beneath the native breast tissue. A balloon dissector is then used to form a precise pocket—matched to the size of the implant—without disrupting key structural elements like the support ligaments of the breast.

By preserving these structures, this technique may:
• Maintain internal support and shape
• Reduce the risk of implant malposition over time
• Allow for a smaller incision
• Support a more comfortable recovery
• Create a more natural-appearing result

The best results come from respecting anatomy, not working against it.

Rapid Fire Questions with Dr. Roider

One procedure I wish more people truly understood? Mastopexy (breast lift). It’s one of the most powerful tools in plastic surgery to restore shape and lift the breast.

When it comes to scarring, it’s important to set realistic expectations. Scars are unavoidable, but silicone tape or silicone gel can significantly improve how scars heal and mature over time.

And if I had to pick one skincare product to support healthy, youthful skin? Retinol. A gold standard for collagen stimulation and long-term skin health.

Education empowers patients to make confident, informed decisions—always happy to share.

✨ Liposuction — Powerful, But Not Magic ✨

Liposuction is a body contouring tool, not a weight loss solution. It’s designed to remove stubborn fat that doesn’t respond to diet and exercise — and it can beautifully enhance results when combined with skin removal procedures like tummy tucks or body lifts.

Let’s clear up some misconceptions about liposuction:
❌ It won’t tighten loose or stretched-out skin
❌ It doesn’t treat cellulite or stretch marks
❌ It will NOT change the number on the scale

Liposuction helps refine your silhouette, not shrink your size. If you’ve had major weight loss, pregnancy, or have significant skin laxity, you may need procedures like a tummy tuck or body lift to get the results you’re looking for.

💗 Breast augmentation — what can you expect during recovery?

In this episode of my Implant Mini-Series, we’re talking about what’s normal after surgery and when you’ll start seeing your results.

Here’s what to expect:
🩺 Immediately after surgery: You may feel pressure and muscle tightness across the chest wall.
❤️‍🩹 1 week: Most patients can return to light activity.
💪 6 weeks: Full recovery typically takes about six weeks.
💧 Swelling: Completely normal — your implants will look high and tight at first.
🌸 Drop & fluff: Over the next few months, implants gradually settle into their final position.
✨ Final results: Usually appear between 3–6 months post-op.

Recovery is part of your transformation — and our team at Colorado Plastic Surgery Center is with you every step of the way. 💫

Gummy Bear Breast Implants — Let’s talk about what that actually means.

We’re talking about cohesivity — the tendency of the silicone gel to stick together or maintain shape.

The nickname “gummy bear” took off in the 2000s because these highly cohesive gels hold their shape even if a rupture occurs — just like how a gummy bear bounces back when squeezed. 🐻✨

Here’s the difference cohesivity makes:
🔹 More cohesive gel → keeps a rounder, fuller shape for a lifted, perky look
🔹 Less cohesive gel → moves naturally with your body for a softer, more subtle result

Both are great options — it’s all about your personal goals and aesthetic preferences. Educate yourself, know your options, and walk into your consultation confident and informed.

🤫Here’s a secret: two implants with the same volume can look completely different on your body — and it all comes down to profile.

In this episode of my Implant Selection Series, we’re breaking down what “profile” really means.

📏 Low profile implant
• Wider + flatter
• Creates a softer, more natural look

📏 High profile implant
• Narrower base + more projection
• Great for fuller cleavage or petite frames

Same cc’s… totally different appearance. That’s why during your consult, we don’t just pick a size — we pick the right shape and projection for your anatomy and goals. Chest width matters. Proportion matters. YOUR preference matters.

👇 Tell me below: do you like a natural look or a push-up effect?

Stressed about a 20-60cc difference? Spoiler it won’t change your result!

This Episode of my Implant Selection Series, we’re talking tiny volume differences — and why they don’t matter as much as you think.

📏 20 cc = less than 1.5 tablespoons
📏 60 cc = just a few tablespoons
Once under skin + tissue, that difference is barely visible.

👉 A 300 cc implant vs. 325 cc implant? They’ll look nearly identical. Surgeons use these small volume changes to fine-tune symmetry — not to change cup size.
So if you’re stuck choosing between two nearly identical sizes, focus on this instead:
✨ “Would I rather be slightly bigger or slightly smaller?”

Save this for your consultation — and stop stressing over cc’s that don’t actually change your result. 👩🏼‍⚕️💬

300cc? 400cc? What does that actually look like?
Let’s decode implant volume.

In this episode of Selecting Your Implant, we’re talking cc’s — cubic centimeters — the unit used to size breast implants. The higher the number, the more volume.

📌 For perspective:
A can of Diet Coke (aka my lifeline 🥤) is 355 ml = 355 cc — the same volume as this implant I’m holding.

But here’s the key, that same 355 cc implant will look totally different depending on your:
• Frame/chest width
• Tissue thickness
• Starting breast volume

This is exactly why you can’t copy someone else’s implant size — the same number looks different on every body.

Save this post for your consultation so you actually know what “cc’s” mean when sizing comes up. Knowledge = confidence. 💡✨

🛑 Stop chasing cup sizes — they’re inconsistent, misleading, and don’t reflect how you’ll actually look.

Here’s the truth: an A cup in one brand can fit like a D in another. That’s why implant selection should be based on proportion, not letters on a bra tag.

🔍 During your consultation, we look at: chest width, tissue thickness, and skin elasticity

We also use 3D Vectra imaging to preview how different implants look on your body
Because the goal isn’t a cup size — it’s a shape that feels balanced, confident, and you.

Follow for more no-fluff education. Confidence over cup size, always. 💬✨
