February 3rd is National Women Physicians Day. 🎉👩🏾‍⚕️

Today, we here at Nu-MD Urology honor our founder Marvalyn DeCambre, MD, and all women doctors across the country who continue to pave the way for those who come after.

Believe it or not, in 2021, African American women only make up 2% of physicians in the US.

Dr. DeCambre and believe that it is necessary to reach back and mentor in order to propel our profession forward. So today, we send love and support to all the women physicians and aspiring women physicians across the nation.

Special acknowledgement to the first Black female physician in the U.S., Rebecca Lee Crumpler, MD (1831-1895). 🇺🇸
