Back to school can be exciting… and a little overwhelming too! 🎒✏️

New routines, earlier mornings, new classrooms, new faces—and lots of big feelings along the way.
So here’s your reminder that everything doesn’t have to fall into place overnight. Give those kiddos (and yourself!) a little extra grace while everyone gets back into the swing of things. 💙

We’re rooting for all of our Kids First kiddos and their families as they tackle another school year! 💗💚
Here’s to new friends, new skills, lots of learning, and plenty of little wins along the way. 🧩📚

So much of childhood is learning how to do everyday things independently. 💗

Getting dressed. Using a spoon. Holding a crayon. Playing with other kids. Trying new textures. Following a routine. Sitting and participating at school.
For some children, these skills come easily. For others, they take a little more practice and support… and that’s where occupational therapy can make such a difference. 🧩

Pediatric OT can support children who are having difficulty with:
✏️ Fine motor & handwriting skills
👕 Dressing and other self-care skills
🥄 Using utensils and mealtime skills
🧸 Play and age-appropriate independence
🖐️ Sensory processing and regulation
✂️ Cutting, grasping and hand coordination
🎒 Participating in classroom routines and activities

You don’t have to wait until a child is really struggling to ask questions. Early support can help build the skills and confidence they’ll use at home, at school, and during play. 💙💚

Babies and toddlers learn so much through movement! 💙

From lifting their head during tummy time to sitting, crawling, standing, and eventually taking those first little steps… each stage helps build strength and confidence for what comes next.

Pediatric physical therapy can help when a child needs a little extra support with things like:
👶 Tummy time & head control
💚 Rolling and sitting
🧩 Crawling and transitioning between positions
👣 Standing and walking
💗 Balance, strength & coordination

Every child develops at their own pace, but if you have questions about your little one’s movement or milestones, it’s always okay to ask.

Some of the biggest wins start with the smallest steps. 💙💚

A new word. Taking a few steps independently. Holding a pencil. Getting dressed. Trying something that used to feel hard.
Those moments may seem small, but to a child and their family, they can mean so much. 🧩

We’re proud to cheer on our kiddos through every new skill, every milestone, and every win along the way. 💗

📚🍎 Back-to-school season is almost here! 🎒✨

For many families, this time of year is filled with new backpacks, fresh school supplies, and lots of excitement. It can also bring a few worries about whether your child is ready for everything a new school year brings—and that’s completely okay. 💙

School readiness isn’t just about knowing letters, numbers, or colors.

It’s also about being able to:
✏️ Hold a pencil comfortably
✂️ Use scissors safely
🎒 Manage a backpack and lunchbox
💬 Communicate with teachers and friends
🤸 Move confidently around the classroom and playground
🧩 Stay engaged during learning and play

We love helping children build these important skills through fun, play-based therapy that meets them where they are. Every child learns differently, and every milestone—big or small—is worth celebrating. 🌈💚🩷

As the first day of school gets closer, remember this:
Confidence grows one small step at a time. 🌟

✏️🧩 Occupational Therapy Helps Build Big School Skills! 🎒💙
💭 Did you know that occupational therapy is about so much more than handwriting? 🌟

OT helps children build the everyday skills they need to become confident, independent learners both in the classroom and at home! 🩷💚💙
Some of the skills we work on include:
✏️ Handwriting & pencil grasp
✂️ Scissor skills
🎒 Zipping backpacks & opening lunchboxes
🍎 Self-care & independence
🧩 Fine motor coordination
💙 Confidence through play-based learning

The best part? Children often don’t even realize they’re working hard because therapy is designed to be fun, engaging, and meaningful! 🎨🫧🧸

Every button they fasten…
Every line they color…
Every puzzle they complete…
Every new skill they learn…

🌈 They’re building confidence for school and for life!
✨ Small skills today become BIG successes tomorrow.

👇 What’s one skill your child has become more independent with recently? We’d love to celebrate those wins with you! 💗
