Our strength is found in our collective gifts. 🕊️

We believe that each one of us is given a manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. This isn’t just a phrase—it is at the absolute heart of our identity and culture.

Whether it’s a clinical breakthrough, a comforting conversation at a bedside or a behind-the-scenes act of kindness, every person brings a unique gift to our mission. When we share those gifts, we don’t just provide healthcare; we provide healing.

Who at St. Luke’s Health inspires you with their dedication and heart? Tag a colleague in the comments and share a story of how they use their gifts to serve our patients and community. Let’s celebrate the people who make us who we are!

Ray Burgess lived with Type 2 diabetes for 20 years, feeling fine—until he didn't. Like many, Ray didn't realize that uncontrolled blood sugar could lead to silent issues like metabolic neuropathy, where you lose the protective sensation in your feet.

After a foot infection led to the amputation of a toe, Ray knew he needed a change. When a second, severe infection appeared on his heel, the multidisciplinary team at St. Luke’s Health – The Woodlands Hospital stepped in.

Through a combination of minimally invasive vascular procedures by Dr. David Kuten and advanced muscle flap reconstruction by podiatrist Dr. Efthymios Gkotsoulias, Ray was able to heal completely in just six weeks.

Diabetes care requires a team effort. Don’t wait for a sign—take charge of your health today.

A new name, one shared mission. As we count down to our official brand unification, St. Luke’s Health is proud to become CommonSpirit.

But who is leading the way? Our incredible brand ambassadors! We sat down with these dedicated team members to talk about what this transition means to them. In this video, they share why our mission is so special, what they love about being part of this national system and how they bring the true meaning of "Humankindness" to life every single day.

We are so proud to have them leading the way forward.

When someone is facing illness, loss or uncertainty, care begins with being present.

Attending to suffering means listening, offering comfort and helping people find the support they need. We may not be able to remove every hardship, but we can make sure no one faces it unseen or alone.

Are you dealing with the recurring pain of gallstones? 🩺 Many patients wonder if they can simply have the stones removed, but Dr. Molly E. Russo, a fellowship-trained hepatobiliary surgeon, explains why that isn't the best path to long-term relief.

“The stones are a symptom of the gallbladder’s dysfunction. We address the source of the problem, which is the organ itself.”

Learn more about why gallbladder removal is often the most effective solution for restoring your quality of life and how modern surgery makes recovery easier than ever.

If you’ve spent any time with our cardiovascular team over the last four years, you’ve likely felt her energy. Chelsey has a superpower: she makes world-class heart care feel personal. Whether she’s connecting with our community or supporting our referral partners, she is always looking for ways to shine a light on the experts who keep our community healthy.

She’s warm, engaging and a champion for everything we stand for here at CommonSpirit. Chelsey, thank you for being such a fantastic megaphone for our brand and for your passion for helping others.

Every person brings a different story, concern and hope for their health.
Listening deeply means pausing long enough to understand what matters to the person in front of us, rather than assuming we already know. Better care begins when people feel heard.

The countdown is ON! As St. Luke's Health prepares to officially become CommonSpirit Health on October 6, our Brand Ambassadors are rounding with Culture Carts in all hospital departments to make sure everyone feels informed, included and ready for the big day.

Our teddy bears 🧸have been a huge hit, along with sharpies, hand sanitizer and cards that grow into wildflowers 🌻when planted. But culture cart rounding is about more than just the goodies.

Our Brand Ambassadors are deeply integrated in our hospitals—from nursing and pharmacy to admin and support services—and they're there to answer team member questions about our brand launch, listen to feedback, and make sure we’re all moving into this next chapter together.

We’re so grateful for the energy they’re bringing to this transition, and we love to see them championing the message that we’re all in this together.

At St. Luke’s Health, our values have always been the heartbeat of our care. As we become CommonSpirit, those values are not just traveling with us, they are the foundation upon which we are building the future of healthcare.

Values are only as powerful as the daily decisions they inform:

Compassion shapes how we listen.
Integrity builds the trust you place in us.
Inclusion ensures every patient is treated with dignity.
Collaboration empowers our teams to do their best work.
Excellence drives our commitment to constant improvement.

Together, we are evolving to serve our communities better than ever before.

We are inspired by Jesus’ healing ministry and the compassion of our founders.

Five elements shape how we serve: reach out, listen deeply, restore community, attend to suffering and include all.

Compassion changes how we see people. One story describes men seeking meals as “the brothers,” rather than using labels that reduced them.

Dignity comes first.
