What a busy week this was.
3 Prenatal Visits, 1 Postpartum Visit, 2 Consultations, and prep for a Private CBE Class.

And now to prepare to go back on call for my next September Momma.

Over 90% of my clients have baby boys, so this conversation is a frequent one. Here's how I handle it.

Building a birth plan, this is what I say:

"Are you circumcising?"
Client: "Yes"
"Would you like information about after care?"

And on the flip side:
Client: "No, we're not."
"Would you like information on how to clean an uncircumcised boy?"

And again:
Client: "We're actually not sure yet."
"That's okay. Would you like some information to help you make your decision?"

The only other question I ask if they plan to circumcise, is if they are planning to give vitamin K, because many hospitals do have a policy that to do a circumcision you must have vitamin K on board.

It's really not that hard! Support your client, if they have questions, answer them. If this is a bias for you, acknowledge it, and get your clients some unbiased information.

We are moving in with our Sister store!

While big changes are coming to Seeds Maternity, our mission remains the same!

Seeds Maternity will be downsizing and moving into Broadway Boutique Mall. This transition allows us to reduce overhead, continue offering quality maternity, nursing, postpartum, and baby essentials, and most importantly, focus more of our resources on supporting moms through our Maternity Leave Assistance (MLA) Program.

Seeds isn’t going away. We’re simply finding a more sustainable way to do what we love: supporting moms and giving back to our community. Every purchase helps us continue that mission.

Thank you for growing with us, shopping with purpose, and believing in what Seeds Maternity is all about. We can’t wait to see you in our new space!

UPDATE TIME (Temporary Shift in availability):

Many of you know I'm a mom to 2 little girls, but fewer of you know that I homeschool them. The start of this school year has brought some new learning challenges, so... With that being said;

I will be taking fewer doula clients in 2027. This will mean that if you want me as your Doula, you need to reach out to me ASAP.

This will mean instead of taking 2 clients most months, I will be taking 1, and some months, will be zero.
Private Childbirth Education Classes will continue as normal, with no change in my availability for that.

My current 2027 birth availability is as follows:
January: PENDING
February: BOOKED
March: OFF
April: 1 Client
May: TBD

Planning a VBAC? It's time to build your team!

Maybe you already have the supportive partner, and VBAC friendly provider, but have you considered a Birth Doula?

Planning a VBAC can come with a lot of hope and excitement, and sometimes...a lot of fear from your previous birth experience.

A Doula can help you navigate those feelings, and stay focused on your goal.

Now, a Doula can't promise you a VBAC, but she can promise to:
