🌿 A New Space for Parents & Families

I’m excited to introduce the new Parent-Child Connections website, a virtual space created to support parents and families through the many challenges that come with parenting, child development, relationships, and emotional well-being.

Parenting can be rewarding, but it can also leave us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or simply wondering, “Am I doing this right?” Sometimes understanding what lies beneath a child’s behavior can change the way we see the child, ourselves, and our relationships.

Through parenting counseling, online parenting classes, and individual relationship-based therapy, Parent-Child Connections offers a place to pause, reflect, learn, and find support.

The website will also be a space for upcoming parenting classes and educational resources focused on child development, emotional connection, communication, and family relationships.

Many parents tell me :
"My child was late diagnosed…”
“Maybe my child has undiagnosed ADHD…”

But here’s the truth:A diagnosis is not treatment.

ADHD is often described as a genetic or neurodevelopmental disorder.And yes—biology matters.

But stopping there can be limiting.

Because behavior is not random.Behavior is communication.

What we call “symptoms” are often expressions of a child’s inner world:• restlessness may be anxiety• inattention may be overwhelm• impulsivity may be unmet emotional needs

When we only focus on the label,we risk missing the message.

Children don’t just “have ADHD.”They are trying to make sense of their experience—and they need help doing it.

The real question is not:“What diagnosis does my child have?”

But:“What is my child trying to tell me?”

That’s where real change begins. 🌱
