This little man earned his star today!! He came in as an “older baby” with feeding struggles since birth with lots of air intake and uncomfortableness. During our evaluation he was found to be very tense throughout his body, including his lower jaw and under his tongue as well as lip. We did lots of stretching and finally was able to refer for a tongue and lip tie evaluation and release. The change was incredible, and he is now nursing like a champ, way less tense throughout his body and mouth, and growing optimally! Way to go buddy (and family). ❤️

It was a big day today!! This little one and her family have stolen my ❤️. They have overcome so many obstacles to get to this day, and have worked together tirelessly to achieve this accomplishment of adding that star to our wall. She came to me (see the first time we met pic if you swipe) with lots of medical traumas and completely untrusting of anyone and anything near her mouth. Today, she is a tubie grad and a lover of all savory things, including salmon and lobster 🤩. She is thriving and smiling her way through life now, including eating with friends at her daycare. I will miss her and her sweet fam, but am so so proud of them ALL!!

This little cutie earned her star today!! She came to us to work on building her nursing relationship and decrease the need for triple feeds, while allowing her to grow!! She’s just a tiny gorgeous girly who needed a little extra time and some tiny changes to her routine and now she and her sweet mama have developed into a beautiful nursing duo. And she is growing on her curve while doing it, and giving her mama all the sweet smiles to show how much she loves it. We couldn’t be more proud.

Our Star wall gained another SuperStar on Friday. And this little one and i go way back!!! She came to me swallowing wrong and struggling with textures. She went from an NG tube to a g-tube to a tubie grad. We worked super hard on her mouth position and her tongue position too, and this smart little beauty learned fast!! She is now eating and drinking well and earned that spot on the wall!! We will miss this sweet face and all of her hugs, but are so proud of her growth!!! Way to go!!!

If you are visiting this weekend, come by my kiddos booth in front of the Penn theatre. It’s his last year as a kid artisan 🥹. So proud of this kid, and so grateful for your support of him all these years!! ❤️

We added a new superstar to our wall today as we are so proud. This little man came to us at a couple weeks old with struggles bottle and breast feeding, including some swallowing troubles. We saw some tongue restrictions as well as lip and referred for a full evaluation. He had his tongue and lip tie released and within a few weeks, with exercises and stretches is now exclusively nursing like a champ and swallowing perfectly!! Way to go little buddy!!

Our newest SuperStar (his mom wanted to write his story) Noah came to Shooting Star because he would not eat a variety of foods, limiting him to roughly 2 - 3 consistent foods and nothing else. Since working through the program, Noah has grown exponentially, expanding not only the types of foods he is willing to try, but no longer experiencing adverse reactions to new foods. He’s even found many new foods that he likes! We are forever grateful for our experience at Shooting Star and for Ms. Amanda helping Noah thrive!! Way to go kiddo, we are so proud of you!!! See ya later 🐊 ❤️💫
