Keeping summer simple… ☀️

Sometimes we can over-complicate what we need to do to help our child thrive.

Whether it’s planning summer, or working out what our child needs for healthy cognitive & emotional development.

We get caught in the thinking that we need to sign them up to endless educational programs, or enroll them in many extra curricular activities.

There’s nothing necessarily wrong with these things, only to remember that it is the simple things that children need the most:

🍃 Sleep
🍃 Healthy nutrition
🍃 Time for movement & free play
🍃 Space for imagination, stories & creativity
🍃 Permission to be curious & explore
🍃 Clear, predictable family boundaries & values
🍃 The attention & unconditional love of their parent or caregiver

These simple things provide a foundation for a child’s healthy development over time 💛💛💛

Through everyday interactions, they help shape how kids experience safety, support and connection. This week, we’re especially grateful for the educators who show up for kids all year long.
