Another approach I commonly use in counseling is Attachment-Based Therapy.
Our relationships and experiences, especially early in life, can shape how we connect with others, view ourselves, and respond when we feel hurt, rejected, or vulnerable.
Attachment-Based Therapy helps us better understand those patterns. Maybe you find yourself worrying about being abandoned, struggling to trust others, keeping people at a distance, or putting everyone else's needs before your own. Together, we can explore where those patterns come from and work toward healthier ways of relating.
One of the reasons I enjoy attachment work is that it helps clients make sense of their experiences with compassion rather than criticism. As a Christian counselor, I also appreciate how attachment work points us toward healing, connection, and secure relationships, both with others and with God!
Our past influences us, but it doesn't have to define us! Understanding your story can be a powerful step toward healing and growth. Let's connect today and discover your attachment style! 🤍
Reflection Question: Have you ever wondered why you respond the way you do in relationships?
